Here's to a three game home sweep and a third Kelly Cup celebration in Cincinnati!!! (knocking on wood)

SCUBA is doing his best, that just means there are two more seats Clones fans have to fill up!

A 1/2 full or more house tonight will help give the guys that extra push they lacked in Alaska, here's to hoping for more than 1/2 full! By the way, when I picked up my tix yesterday, the page was full of people stopping to get theirs too. Add to that the small media push on AM radio and commercials on TV.... maybe the ham n eggers will finally see the light of a championship playoff series!

Absolutely cannot wait for tonight....and tomorrow...

Eric

yep, seeing they are 6 and 8 year old girls and being on a single fixed income......absolutely. To them it is just another game, and it isn't just $7.00....it is $40.00, for two girls that would rather go to a princess party.

I will be there tomorrow night and Saturday night, regardless of the outcome tomorrow night. My wife loves the Reds as much as I hate them, so Saturday I agreed to take her to the 4:15 Reds game then the 'Clones game. I personally can't complain about ticket prices. It is a team playing for a championship (that is a foreign word to Reds and Bengals fans), and support for this team in the post season has been abysmal (including from me). This is a very expensive series for the Cyclones (i.e. Orlando and Alaska trips) and would have been more economically feasible to have lost early. Ray Harris has shown his commitment to the team and I feel a sense of obligation to support them where I can. IMO, ownership has been more loyal to the fans this post season than the other way around.

This is so cliche but Friday's game is a must win.......I am thy of little faith for either team that wins their 3rd game. Drives my wife nuts, with my pessimism. I'm thankful that i'm not playing the series because the Clones last loss totally broke my back. I'll be there Friday night but my frustration will be on a short trigger, I won't sit around to watch a loss. I've also mentioned on another site the higher ticket prices, whom ever is responsible should wait at the doors with beaded sweat on their forehead. Fans in Cincy are unlike any I have seen before. Friday, I think we will watch fans dressed in red walking past US Bank Arena in favor of watching a possible loss vs a playoff finals game. heck even i'm leaving the kids at home because of prices. Win friday and i'm there on saturday, A loss tommorrow and I cannot stand watching an elimination game......I get way too disappointed.

Really? An extra 7 bucks is enough to leave your kids at home?? For a finals game??? SMH.

Even though the Cyclone are down a game, I'm really stoked for this weekend. I think the team will feel more comfortable and at ease back at home and playing at their normal time. It's my hope that the crowds are decent and able to create an energizing environment. All we need is a three game win streak!

(Let the record show that I'd prefer they win all three here.)

Unfortunately and realistically, I would agree. cMan2KellyCup made a post before the series started indicating the importance of the boys taking 2 of 3 in Alaska, which of course didn't happen. While stranger things have happened, I just don't see the 'Clones sweeping them here. For the series to make it back to Alaska with a chance for them to win it at home in front of their crowd would be huge for them, and a very tough hill to climb. In short, I am not as optimistic as I would like to be. I sure hope I am wrong and all of you are are saying "I told ya so."

Coach Simon was absolutley right... the refs need to be consistent, fair and right during a league finals series... and if they are not they need to be re-evaluated and it needs to affect assignments for the next regular season... the Kelly Cup Finals is the ECHL's highlight moment and the Cyclones and Aces worked hard to earn the right to be there, and the refs need to work like they earned the right to be there as well

Looks like Coach Simon will be writing a check. This is his quote to the Alaska Daily News after last night's egregiously officiated game.

“Absolutely,’’ said Simon. “The refereeing in this series is so inconsistent, and they’re not accountable. This is the Kelly Cup Finals. It’s disappointing, and it goes both ways — I’m sure Rob Murray is over there with some complaints.’’

I think Simon will be fine, in fact if I was an owner of the team I would pay for the fine for coach Simon. I'm not a ref hound but the truth of the matter is the refs have been deplorable on both sides, he's right, there isn't any accountability, and who can we count on to over see the officials? Mr Bad call himself Joe Ernst...really?

I actually believe last nights game was terrible and we are lucky we got away with a 2-0 loss and not something to the tune of 5-0. Giving way too many shots. The offensive was lack luster and anything thrown Coleman's way was at the Aces Logo. We did a far better job interuppting their breakout and neutral zone play in the first and second but it appeared to me the Clones fet we were playing half ice hockey.....our side. The third period was a combinbation of Clone's icing the puck or grabs from Madore. Any number of mad scrables in front of the net was how this one was going down, and cannot we get a PP goal for once fellas. I'm not seeing the rest of the series through rose colored glasses, so far the Aces have taken it to them. Sorry about the rant...I will take my meds before next game.

I would also like to think that being home again would give us an advantage however I fear that Reds game are going to put a great big crapolla on that. Every garage on the banks will be for pass holders and such and pretty much suck. I would like to believe that US bank would be filled but i'm not having pleasant thoughts about attendance.

I don't think we'll see a big crowd unless the Cyclones are in position to win the Cup on Monday. Weekend games will hopefully draw more than the 1500 or so we've been averaging though. Really sucks the Reds are in town throughout.
