Mike Chighisola scored the first-ever Cyclones goal 1:25 into the first period and the deciding goal in the shootout. John Fletcher earned the win in goal. |

Posted - 11/05/2015 : 11:08:55 AM That's a great recap. Thank you for sharing. Additionally, I wish more people in this area had an understanding of the truly rich history Cincinnati has at the AHL and IHL level. Those Mohawk teams were dominant. I don't think people know how great that team was by winning 5 consecutive Turner Cups. In total, Cincinnati has 8 professional hockey championships: 5 Turner Cups, 1 Calder Cup, 2 Kelly Cups. It would be nice if the Cyclones would put a small display together that celebrates the rich, forgotten hockey heritage in this city (Mohawks, Swords, Stingers, etc.) I wonder if they'd be willing to do something like that.
