After Satuday's games, the Cyclones stand a realistic chance to clinch home ice throughout the playoffs.

In the other conference if Las Vegas wins out, they'll have 108 points. We have 105 with 7 play. I'll go out on a limb and say that we'll outpoint LV.

Texas currently has 109 points. They have 5 games remaining.

If we win our 2 games in hand and match Texas in points for the other 5, we will tie them. By virtue of more wins, we would earn home ice advantage against them.

50 wins in 65 games. Very possibly the Brabham Cup. Whouda thunk it?

We may have home-ice throughout anyways if Texas loses before they get to us. They gotta get past Mississippi in the first round of the playoffs first. After what's happened to them so far this weekend that could be a tough task for them. That being said, I really hope we get to send them golfing when May gets here.

GO HABS GO!!!

I was trying to find the playoff schedule and ran across this:
http://www.echl.com/cgi-bin/mpublic.cgi?action=show_news&cat=1&id=13937
2008 Kelly Cup Tour Schedule
Feb. 23 Biloxi, Miss.
Mar. 1-2 Elmira, N.Y.
Mar. 8 Duluth, Ga.
Mar. 14 Dayton, Ohio
Mar. 20 Trenton, N.J.
Apr. 4 Boise, Idaho
Why would Elmira who just joined the ECHL get the cup visit instead
of a team like Johnstown that has been in the league every year!

Hello....

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

MOST POINTS, ONE SEASON
116 - Louisiana IceGators, 2001-02 (56-12-4)
113 - Alaska Aces, 2005-06 (53-12-7)
112 - Las Vegas Wranglers, 2005-06 (53-13-6)
108 - San Diego Gulls, 2003-04 (49-13-10)
- Florida Everblades, 1999-2000 (53-15-2)

With 9 games remaining, do you think this is possible? I think it is.

Sorry about the link. This was posted days ago.

Anyone who looks at the standings in comparison can see that Cincinnati is a better team than Texas. While they still have a slight lead over us in points, it is pretty obvious why. They have 4 OT losses and 7 SO losses (tied for most in the league). LOSING after regulation is how they gained 11 of their points. On the other hand, the Cyclones only have a 1-4 ratio and (2 of those shoot out losses coming in the last week) and have won more and lost less games.
