Sounds like the fans got pretty good treatment at the Swarm game:
http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2003/04/20/spt_wwwsptfoot1a20.html
I wonder if they cleaned the bird**** off the seats for the football fans???
How about a "plaza party" for the Cyclones fans Saturday? I'll hold my breath waiting. Think they promoted the Clones at the football game like they promoted the Swarm at the hockey games? Inquiring minds want to know! |

If the arena team keeps up even half of their promotion gimmicks, the Swarm will draw a crowd. Like I've been saying, minor league sports need major league promotion while major league sports can get by with minor promotions. The arena will look at the football crowds and throw them right back in the Cyclones face. How about Cyclone cheerleaders, how about pre game concerts by a local band. How about running Clawd and/or Twister out after a goal with 10 free Cokes for the crowd. How about bringing back a kids area(Skyline Chili Zone) where the fans are passed out the cheap garbage that kids and some adults (my wife and myself)love.I don't want to go to Dayton to see hockey because the Cyclones left! |

| Not to start a war here, but it's all in marketing the team and spending the money. I am a Swarm season ticket holder and I had a great time at the game. You're blaming the arena, but to my knowledge they do not own the team. If the owners of the Swarm pay the money to advertise and do things for the fans, then what's the problem. I'm a season ticket holder for the Cyclones also. It's up to the team to promote the team, not the arean. Just my 2 cents..... |

| I am pretty sure the arena also owns The Swarm. I could be wrong though. |

| It is the arena's job to clean up the place. I'm tired of looking at all the bird****! |

Joann...
It doesn't take a genius to see the lack of respect this team recieves from US Bank Arena, not to mention media, etc, etc. Just like Clonzfan said... I'm tired of looking at birdsh**. I'm also wondering what the filty stink was coming from the seats the past 2 games on Monday and Tuesday. ugh. |
