Nope that<s wrong, at Nationwide arena, Nashville, Joe Louis arena, and pepsi, I have been a Champion for this cause for sometime, We bought a Nikon D70s, and got rid of virtually every camamea we own, I have spoke with security at those venues, and they didn't see any reason to prevent those cameras from entering. One security guy said, "Now if your zoom lens is so large that you have to steady it on the shoulder of the patron in front of you, I might not allow it in" They also went as far as saying that they let the visiting event make the rule, i.e Hannah Montana, in which they enforced the rules. nationwide arenas web site, that I found, says camera policy subject to change, as for the Bluejackets...shoot away. If it's good for the Bluejackets for heavens sake we should be able to take pictures of a minor league hockey team.....seriously suppose someone wanted to make money, what would they stand to gain, If I want to go through all the trouble of taking pictures and selling them on ebay, well go for it...If it was such a significant money maker than you would see clone staff taking pictures. I might could understand if That was happening, someone could undercut them, but for God's sake!

TMWWI, you posted the same concerns on the other board and it got a fair amount of run, I was pleased that you pointed out that the USBA and it's design has caused it to be obsolete, NOT THE CYCLONES, the design of the USBA is the problems, you pointed out that the Reds don't have the same ticket problems, but I would contend that the Reds have had very little walk up numbers, when I go to a reds game I usually have the date and tickets weeks in advance....I believe that the high numbers of folks going to the Hockey games have overwhelmed the system, when the ticket become hotter, Like it was years ago, I would drive down to the gardens and buy tickets weeks in advance, most folks know that it has been easier in the past just to walk up to the USBA, get more numbers like we did on fan appreciation night and I bet that people will start buying their tickets more in advance. thus redusing the walk-up lines. Like most americans, we see the problems but do little to solve them, i would say that at present, the way the building is designed we will just have to live with it, unlike the camera policy that really needs to be changed for cyclones games. The Concessions have gotten a fair amount of critisizm as well, I typically don't see people sitting around, I think most are working, so unless there is a redesin in the works, the problems might continue, I would suggest that they send more folks walking up and down the isles, selling food, more rolling carts, oh my God I might use the booth that the fan club sometimes uses for food instead of going empty sometimes...my $.02

I don't have any details and in fact I doubt he had many details but my ticket rep commented last week that USBA is intending to make some upgrades in the future.

Get Clones instead of Clunkers.

I have run into this problem many times (yet my camera has been to Nationwide Arena, the Sommet Center, Great American Ballpark, Quicken Loans Arena, RFK Stadium, Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Wayne, and the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown - all without a problem). They think my lens comes off because it's external and I can show them it doesn't, but that isn't acceptable to them. My camera intimidates them so they pull bull**** on me all the time.

Some people get satisfaction out of getting the perfect shot. I put my photos on the internet and don't make money. US Bank Arena is run by a bunch of low-IQ shmucks who they they are somebody, that's the one thing in the world they think they can control.

Nationwide is AWESOME about cameras. I have a telephoto lens attachment that I can put on my camera & they don't care at all. I had no problem at the Sommet in Nashville either.

I know some sporting events you cannot even bring in camera cell phones! At WWE events if you bring your cell phone out they take it or tell you to leave. That is ridiculous. I know what you mean about "professional cameras." There are so many "professional" looking cameras but does not mean that they are professionals. So a very nice looking camera is professional. Cyclones fans are there to take pictures of personal use not to make profit off of it and to share to other Cyclones fans that do not get to make it to the games.

Let's GO CYCLONES! and Blue Jackets! and Miami RedHawks!
