Right now Hamilton is in 4th place-but- if the other conference team's fifth place
team (now Milwaukee)has a better record then they will get their slot.Milwaukee is
fighting to move into 4th as well as just staying in fifth. It looks like unless a
miracle happens(or nightmare for us), one will get knocked out and Cedrick,Maxime
or Dov will come available at the end of ther season.

Put a fork in Hamilton. They are done. Their 'tragic number' is 3. So, they'd have to win out (8 games) and have 3 other teams each not get 3 points in their remaining 8. No chance of that happening.

Milwaukee is in a dog fight for the final spot. They've been hot of late. Last night Dagneault stopped all 36 shots for a 1-0 shutout. McElroy and Sixsmith did not dress-again.

My question is...would they send players back down after another loss? would they instead keep the players we need until the final end of their season...do we even need ours back until then

Big question on Cedrick-even if we get him back how messed up will he be !They
yanked him last night in the second after 3 goals and he still doesn't have a
regulation win.Meanwhile Maxime had a 1-0 shutout and Dov won an overtime SO
two nights ago.No matter how good a goalie is-his game depends on his state of
mind. Hamilton seems to play an entirely different type of game and our players
have trouble when they go up or come back for a few games.Do we put him right in
if he comes back during the playoffs or do we stick with a Cody if he has been playing?

No truer statement can be made! There is and will always be a period of adjustment with players as they make the transition from one level to the next (as well as from one team to the next). A lot has to do with making adjustments with their team mates and how the coach works with his players. And of ACCEPTANCE!!

For goalies it can be the most difficult. From posts in other threads here it has been said there was/is not much confidence in 'Ceddy' to begin with from the Hamilton coach. Goalies take each goal as 'personal', their 'psyche' can be the most fragile on a team. If the coach and team do not have respect and confidence in their goalie then the goalie can start second guessing themselves. But at the same time, if a team has confidence and respect for their goalie, that goalie wil be at his best. Because that goalie knows that his team mates know his weaknesses and will be there to back him up.

Basicly what I am saying that if and when players do return sooner or when playoffs start, they already know the support levels of their coach and team they came back to! They also know, that though they may make we the fans nervous at times...........they will have our FULL SUPPORT!!

Couldn't of said it better myself!

I really don't care for the Hamilton Coach at all, but maybe its cause hes having a hard time right now.... he just seems so unpleasent.

Anyway, yeah, that was an impressive speech bannerlady and you right, Chuck believes in them and I think it will be ok.

Ced does have a hard time when he's yanked or loses the game. You can see his helmet bobbing up and down when he's upset b'c he's talking/yelling at himself about what just happened. I just hope if and WHEN (I hope their season is done soon) he comes back he will fall right back in place with most of the guys he's played with for 2 seasons.

Either way, we need another goalie..... :(

Patrick Roy never recoved when he was with the Habs, and to this day will not sign Canadiens stuff, Goaltenders a fragile beings, I would believe and hopefully I'm not talking crap...He has got alot of abuse up there, he might actually want to come back because he knows he has our support, thinking next year is a new year for him in the AHL

Thanks everyone for taking my post like it was meant! Last year we went through Dov's
ups and downs and it seems when he went up to Manitoba late in the season that his
game really straightened out. Look at this year when he finally got the AHL call,he
was ready and has done a good job up there.Maybe if next year the Hamilton team still
has the same coaches,Montreal might want to consider a loan of Cedrick to a different
AHL team and see how he does.I think 99% of our fans will welcome Cedrick back and a
regular season start would be priceless for him and the team to get him into a solid
"game-face" for the playoffs.

Dov did have his ups and downs last season, but the reaction from most of the fanbase to any loss he suffered was not good and probably lent to it being a long season for him here. You're correct in saying that the players need the support of the staff and fans. Hopefully we've made that a better situation for all the boys here this year... it seems like it :)

Hopefully we get him back before our regular season ends. If his head is not right the few games remaining actually mean nothing, and he can take a few bumps in them.

Well i know when Ced started his first game for hamilton recently, the announcers did say he skated off the ice pretty upset and not wanting to talk to his teammates at all. He knew he had to prove himself to the coach but he wasnt able to do it the way he wanted to.

I hope Ced knows how much Cincinnati appreciates him and his hard work. He is also my favorite player and has so much talent so its hard to see him in a situation like this. I agree with Caitskee, that Cincinnati has some awesome fans and I really think the players and Coaches like it.

Just a random side note but apparently he has an older brother who is a hockey player too...not 100% sure about it but it was mentioned.
