That's hilarious, Jim. In fact, I may try it next game. Just make sure it's Donatos!

I've never had any problems getting anything in there. When Kohen's with me I normally pack a few snacks and 2 sippies full of either milk or juice. Key is, go thru one of the youngin' at the door, yah know like the high school kids, they really just dont care! lol..

You can sneak anything under a jersey...which makes you even wonder why they check purses? I guess they think it gives a sense of security. Their security is really nothing more than a joke anyway.

On Friday night after looking in my purse at the back door this young chickee started to reach for my waistline and upper body! I backed away and let her know she better not touch me. It's a good thing she stopped or she'd of been very injured!

On the nights that I want to bring my camera & a couple of other things I use a large tote bag. The folks at the door just peek in it & off I go.

Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

My girldriend gets in no matter what she has in there. She brings knitting and crocheting sometimes and they never say anything about it. Plus none of the people at the door really look under your top layer of things in the purse.

That's like this year when my son drops his pop(24oz MtDew) right in front of the ticket taker. She said you can't bring that in here. So I said I will take that back to the car. I already had 2 on me and couldn't fit more in my pockets so I just stepped outside and put it in my jersey sleeve as she watched and walked right in with it. She just smiled at me and she told me as long as I don't see it and you make it threw the gates with it you are go to go. Oh and BTW the whole 24oz wasn't for my son it was for him to split with his sisters. 24oz of dew would wire him for days lol.

Honestly, I have covertly brought in items like my camera for instance, last year I've snuck in Taco Bell, a couple of years ago I also brought in subway, but NEVER in a million years would I have thought I needed to hide snacks for a toddler, Isn't there some type of freakin law about that...hell even airlines have to allow you to carry formula on the airplane, I know it's alittle different. I will tell you this though, It will NEVER happen again I tell you! and lastly as much as I hate to admit this, I have drank my last diet pepsi and ate my last cold angus burger, I can support my buying tickets and thats about it...maybe a jersey from time to time....

Yeah, some of those USBA Event Staff are a little nuts. My sister works for the Event Staff part time (she's a good one, so be nice! LOL) but she says a lot of the people that work there take their jobs a bit too seriously. It's a combination of some being too serious and some not giving a care in the world.

She tries her best to follow the rules set down by the arena management, but she also tries to be reasonable about things. She would never have taken Goldfish crackers away from a two year old. That's just ridiculous. And she also says that hockey fans are the best fans that she likes to work with because the concerts draw a totally different element. She says we're the best!

What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts.

You know what I just remembered haha. When we had teh All-Star game I brought in a bag of Wendy's and the people at the door didn't say anything to me and my dad at all, it was pretty funny just sitting down in the stands eating wendy's and nobody caring.

Here's the scoop from the Cyclones.I was told in our section someone "DEMANDED"
to sit in their seats or get a refund. If so, I hope this is their last game they attend
because we don't need jerks like that.As for the bottle caps- bring your own because some
idiots were throwing them and now they will keep them for both sodas and beer.Just what
we needed, probably first time jerks killing the fun for us.

I'm glad no idiots threw beer cans on the ice Saturday....It makes the line go so much faster getting the dollar beers when they don't poor it in cups.

OK- so funny story...

A couple of weeks back, they were out of pizza at the consession stand, before the game started. I have a friend that delivers for DONATOS...gave him a call, and he delievered an entire pizza to the 'SMOKING AREA' and I met him there and picked it up. *cost me $6 extra so he could get into the lot to park, but it was worth it....

I have had other problems at the arena such as being told ' you are sitting in the wrong seats' & the usher actually being WRONG...because I always have the same seats...

I'm sorry that I missed the first round home games all but just bought a new condo, and we are still trying to get things 'organized' in order to make the move. Had the lil one not fallen asleep at 6ish both nights, we'd have come down but we had to take advantage of the 'FREE TIME' that he wasn't screaming as we put more things in a box.

I didn't realize that moving would be so difficult... i heard the phrase, NO DADDY THATS MINE, about 40 times an hour as we were packing things and getting ready for the move. Wish we could have been there.

Next time that USBA staff gives you a hard time, just explain to them that Jesus told you to bring the crackers because it's Fishes and Loaves night. That might work, I know that it would at least confuse them long enough for you to get by

For the one who mentioned having a problem with getting tickets, call Mike Cox. His office number is 513-421-4111. He's a heck of a guy. He's gone out of his way for me on more than a few occasions. He's the type of guy in which you can call him and ask for as few as two seats, the day of the game, and he'd have them waiting for you at will call. He's even offered to get me whatever seat I want (in the price range). Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's certainly a nice gesture for someone who doesn't bring a large group into the arena with him. Give it a shot.

The way I get food into the arena is to hide it in the bushes and then get my hand stamped at the smoking section and retrieve it. Those guys don't really check.

I had the same problem Banner Lady had when trying to get tickets during the first intermission. I even had one of the ticket takers go ask them why they weren't selling tickets. He said they told him they wouldn't be on sale until they knew it was a necessary game. What a bunch of crap! I was really disappointed when I found out they went on sale later that night. Thanks for the info on Mike Cox, I'll just call him from now on.
