The good news-we won and the series is tied. The bad news-we only played 40 of the 60 minutes. The first 30 minutes of the game and the last 10 were hard played-BUT- the last 10 of period 2 and the first 10 of period 3 we went back to letting Reading take the action to us. To win this-bottom line is we need 60 min. of play at full attack. As for last night, come on refs and put an end to Reading and the goal nets. At least 10 times their net was knocked off when we had the play around the net.Hats off to the refs for having the balls(or is it pucks in hockey) to give us the goal that Reading tried to avoid by sending the net to the back wall.Another great move by Coach Weber was sending Martin out for the opening faceoff to send the message "WE AIN'T TAKING THIS ANY MORE". The tone of the game was great and the lines played better together.Tonight we need 60 minutes of play and smart power play hockey.
I thought I was the only person who noticed that Reading was making a living off of knocking the net off. I'm amazed that they've been able to get away with doing that the past couple games.
And yes, that was a good way to start the game. I think that's part of the reason we came out flying.
MacMillan started running his mouth during the pre-game skate. Conny started barking back, using MANY F-BOMBS and challenged him to go in the game. It's about time someone stepped up for the Clones. We DO need 60 minutes and NO DEFENSIVE SHELLS!! Hats off to Suhy for being in the perfect position to call the winning goal. Reading was complaining it was kicked in but with 8 people in the crease it's hard to say. I feel tonight's game is also a MUST win.
Congratulations on Game #4 from a Dayton B-O-M-B-E-R-S fan.
Cyclones played an entertaining game last night and made the drive down worth ($20 gas - OUCH!!) it. Good job standing up to a team that has become much tougher as the season progressed. Funny seeing Twister lose his head - hehehe. Glad "Slew-Foot" Suhy counted that 4th goal. Reading looked like the old Toledo Storm all night with the net getting knocked off and tried it one too many times.
Good luck in Game #5. Will come down for a game next round if you put these guys away.
Ha-Ha - your DB conversion trick can be beat! ;-)

No reason the Royals should be bitching about the "questionable goal" when they were given every chance to pull back into the game they were out of until late. When their net is dislodged two dozen times a game, calling something questionable is pretty f'n stupid in my book.
I guess the Reading players were too busy flirting with our bench, running their mouths, and waiting on powerplay opportunities last night to even realize they put in about 1/3 of the effort needed.
Hope to see the boys put in a solid 60 tonight and really take it to them.
