As many of you may have read, I stated last night that based on a natural distaster that struck a dear friend of ours, even the Lord himself wants us to win the Kelly Cup.

Now, I said that blindly at first, but the more I investigated the situation, I find myself more and more convinced of my theory at hand. I now would like to offer proof of my theory in three easy installments.

I submit into evidence as Exhibit A the tornado I referred to. It hit the lowcountry of the city of Charleston. This city houses North Charleston Coliseum, the home arena for our American Conference Final adversary, the SC Stingrays. This tornado took place at a very peculiar time when we are heading there to hopefully finish the job we started this weekend.

Exhibit B... our team jersey. Before you dismiss this, look closely at our jersey and you will find a hockey playing tornado for our logo, and, depending on how old school you chose to make your jerseys, a tornado on each shoulder. This basically makes us a bunch of tornadoes, and Seeing as though what is usually described by your average hillbilly, drunken onlooker, or cat-lady as an act of God
happened before our team arrived, it should really make you think.

To back up my hillbilly claims, I want to state for the record my favorite Jeff Foxworthy redneck joke (If youv'e been on TV five times describing what the tornado sounded like, you might be a redneck) to prove that I am not insulting anybody.

Anyway, back to my evidence, my final piece is the presence of Jesus himself at the Cyclones playoff games. When I was last there, I tried to get him to join us and lead us to victory, a request that was denied when he failed to show, but he was there anyway and that is my point! God's only son can pretty much be a fan of any hockey team he wants, but he picked the Cincinnati Cyclones.... the team with the best record in all of professional hockey this season. AND, when all seemed lost, and all were doubting our ability, we came back from 3-2 down to win the Reading series... I know that God will shoot some lightning into me when I least suspect it for saying all this, but something miraculous is going on when even his son is a Cyclones fan!

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the evidence is all here, and hopefully it will prove beyond a shadonw of a doubt what I have been proving all along. God himself truly wants us to win the Kelly Cup. We have made a fan out of our maker. God so loved the world that he brought is only son.... and now we can also say that he so loved the Cycloes that he sent his son to see the games. When I die, this quote alone might condemn me, but a Kelly Cup title is worth all the risk :)

I rest my case!

KELLY CUP CHAMPIONS- 2008, 2010
AMERICAN/EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS- 2008, 2010, 2014
DIVISION CHAMPIONS- 1996, 2008, 2009, 2013
2008 BRABHAM CUP CHAMPIONS
Boards + visitors = broken bones!

I like the way you think. I just have two questions.

1. Where do you sit?

2. What is the blast radius of a smiting?

We will fight to the end
We will stand and defend
Our flag flying high and free
We were born the child
Of the strong and Wild
In the State, the State of Hockey.

Hell No! I was a season ticket holder at U of M for a couple years too. Even High School games are hard to get into. They sell-out the Frozen Four State Playoffs in minutes!!

There's a major flaw in your theory though, the City of Charleston is not the home of the SC Stingrays. The SC Stingrays' home is in the City of North Charleston,(and I double dare you to tell the Mayor of the City of North Charleston that the North Charleston Coliseum is housed in the City of Charleston!! LOL) two definitely different cities, and though they are close in proximity, they are not by any stretch of the imagination the same city ... so, I guess we could interpret that tornado in the outer edges of the City of Charleston as meaning ... close but no cigar??? GO RAYS!! (sorry, I just couldn't resist!)
