Mayor Declares "South Carolina Stingrays Week"
May 13, 2008


NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced that this week has been proclaimed “South Carolina Stingrays Week” by the City of North Charleston.

The proclamation was presented by Mayor Keith Summey who congratulated the team on a terrific season and wished its future success in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The Stingrays are the ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

South Carolina hosts Cincinnati in Game 3 of the American Conference Finals on Wednesday at the North Charleston Coliseum.

I heard a Cyclone Warning moving into the area of SC and it cancelled the Stingray week. This event has been posponed to a later date and time. :)

I saw that Home Depot in N. Charleston has ran out of plywood, and the grocey stores are out of bottle water. A category 5 cyclone from Cincinnati is about to crash into SC!!!
