The topic for the survey is great. On one hand, the moves made
will possibly bring back some past season ticket holders to rebuy
season tickets again. The deal also will get people like me to finally
buy the season ticket because the free parking makes the deal great.
On the other hand, the Cyclones are not helping the walk-up crowd
with better prices. How about a limited game day endzone corner seat
for $7.50? The season ticket holders would still be getting their
free parking, while the families and casual fans could still get a
chance at a cheaper ticket. A "butt" in the seat at $7.50 is still
better than an empty seat at $9.00.

I see where your coming from bags....First I think the Neitherlanders are trying to treat the season ticket holders as the prime customers. For the average walk up fan I dont think they will know the season ticket holders are getting the seats cheaper for a 1.50. Yeah we the season ticket holders are still getting free parking but again thats the perk for being a ticket holder.

Both have made valid points.

But to encourage the 'casual fans'/'walk-ups' to come back, seems to me that for every group of ........... say 4 tickets .....the walk up fan could be given a voucher for one free ticket to come to another game. This would get them to return and would give them a bit of savings as well.

But that is only an opinion on my part.

When I was in high school, the Reds had a Straight-A promotion
involving free tickets for an A average on the report card. If the
team could try this, the result is usually the parents buying tickets
to come down also. Even if only the student comes down, you got them
in the building once making the next visit easier. The closer to 6,000
average, the more chance even the Enquirer will have to take notice
and finally start a little coverage. I am trying to keep a positive
attitude, so maybe the ticket info now is a break for the season
ticket holders and promotions will be announced for the walk-up
crowd in the near future.
