| Two good articles in today's Enquirer. Also made the front page of the sports section again. |

| I would have to agree. I especially liked Paul D's article, though I felt it put a bad impression on the guys. Please remember, this is just my humble opinion! |

| I don't really like it either, it's like hes just saying go see the cyclones this weekend! and then unloads a bunch of negative stuff. |

Wow... I just read Paul's article and it left a bad taste in my mouth. If you want to write an article about the Cyclones and how much they deserve our support, fine. But if you want to write an article about how badly major league sports and major league facilities are run in Cincinnati, just do that. Don't dump on our boys in your article because you're upset about how things are and because watching the Cyclones reminds you about how good things in Cincinnati could be for the other teams. These boys have nothing to do with the Reds sucking, the Bengals sucking or even the fact that pro hockey almost went down the proverbial toilet when it moved downtown from the Gardens.
These boys were all in grade school when this city's sports teams started down the slippery slope at which we are at the bottom of now. They work their asses off NOW and deserve much more support than just because they are accessible and walked from the Arena after practice to Fountain Square for the pep rally.
Boo! Sorry for being negative. It's great that they're at least in the paper again. But this one really stuck me in the gut... |
What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts. |

I had the opposite impression.
I thought the manner in which Dougherty compared the Clones vs. the other teams and the city made the Clones look even better.
This guy has become a media friend to us. He's on our side, folks. |

Daugherty's article was okay... we know the state of the major leagues in this town and everyone knows were second rate. Anybody who thinks any different is fooling themselves. (Lets break out the small market excuse for the millionth time...)
Whose jersey was DD wearing for the picture? Was he standing on something or was it the perspective that made him look taller ? |

To me, it looks like it's Jersey #78 which would be Aubin.
Who cares though? We've made the front page again which is really sweet. |

I tend to agree with hrc666. He really only said things we've all thought about the other teams. It was a little odd that he used the Cyclones as an example for his platform -but that is what opinion writers do.
He mentioned the speedway being done with private funds. It would have been nice to have mentioned that the Cyclones and the USBA have also not been on the public teat.
Still, I didn't dislike nor disagree with his points. |

| I didn't think it was negative towards the 'Clones at all. The negativity was directed at the Cincinnati sports scene in general, and deservedly so. The way I read it, he's portraying the Cyclones as a standard to which the rest of the city should measure up to. |

He's a tool because he speaks the truth? Yeah, I know he wrote a column a few years ago that cast a negative light on the Cyclones (I tried to find the link, but couldn't ... sorry), but it was factual. His recent columns have been more positive and also factual. His job is to express his opinion, and if it happens to not favor the 'Clones, or any other team, for that matter, as long as it is factually correct, does not make him a tool. In my opinion. he's one of the better sports writers this city will ever see. |

Nice article in sundays paper, too. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
