I am speaking to you from my uncle's house in Windsor, Ontario. We just came back from Auntie Mary's visitation.

Her funeral mass is tomorrow. We will be burying her afterwards. All that info is family related and I can not discuss it. But, I can tell you that she will be buried in her Windsor Spitfires jersey and she will be wrapped in a replica of the 1988 OHL Championship banner she made. That is how big of a hockey fan she was. I only wish she was a Detroit Red Wings fan too. Then there would be something to talk about LOL.

Everything involving Auntie Mary, from her death to her disposal to everything, is going too quickly for me to bear right now. But I will tell you some of the details involving the last few days.

Her time of death was sometime during the midnight hours, because she was dead already when my uncle tried to wake her on Thursday. They did the autopsy on Thursday evening. The autopsy DID reveal a complication from her surgery as the doctors has suspected. She had double bypass surgery a couple of weeks ago. The official cause of death from the Essex County coroner's office was a Pulmanary Embolism due to the cutoff of her left ventricle. When the ventricle failed, there was nowhere for blood to go, so it backed up into her lungs. Basically, she choked to death from her own blood in her sleep. IN HER SLEEP is the term that makes me feel better about this mess. If she suffered, she suffered very little and didnt even know. She just slipped away.

I will probably be back in Cincinnati by 5:00 or so tomorrow evening. There is a CHANCE that I will make Game Two tomorrow night, but it is slim. I will be listening tonight.

Thank you all for your prayers and concern. Mary would have been so thrilled to know that all of my friends care so much. She would tell you all what I close with:

GO CYCLONES!!!!!

All the love,
C-Man

Prayers to your family and thoughts as well. Also, I hope you have a safe trip home and if you do make it to the game it will be a good one for you to come home to.
