In an effort to move away from the fan discussions...
What changes do the Cyclones need to make for game 3? In my opinion very little. A few more shots on net or maybe change out Syro for Maki but other than that I think we are still in the drivers seat in this series.
Unlike SC, LV is very beatable in their building. I just hope the boys stay focused on the task at hand and not the glitz of Vegas.
Anyone going to see the team off? |

i would have to agree. from a statistical stand point the 'clones owned game 2 everywhere but where it mattered. it was one of those game like reading game 5 where we just couldn't buy a bounce. it just so happened that vegas got one.
i really don't the think lalonde is capable of playing that well night in and night out. yes, he's a solid goalie, but the performance he had in game 1 shows he's beatable.
i actually think the pressure is on vegas because they know how explosive our offense can be and that they have to figure out a way to put more than 1 goal on the board, because 1 goal probably isn't going to beat us night in and night out. |

| I know of at least 10-12 people that are going. I really hope that those of you who are going to be there get a group shot so that the rest of us can see what it's like out there. Have a blast & stay safe! :-) |

| I was pretty depressed after Sunday night's game but I'm okay now. Why? Well obviously we need to win one game out there to ensure the series of coming back to Cincy. However I believe we can win two. I would'nt mind winning all three but then again it would be great to see the clones win it on home ice. I'll take it any way it happens as long as we win the cup.But can you imagine the atmosphere at the arena if we do have a chance to win it here? I thought it was great the first two games but I don't think we've seen how loud it can really get. P.S.-Safe travels to those heading out to Vegas. |

I've seen Lalande 4 games and my comment is the same-shoot from outside and aim for the upper corners. In close he gives ZERO ice level shots and Vegas players will plow you under in the crease.Final thing is come on boys, don't let the little guys do all the dirty work.Step up and put Lalande down if Cedrick goes down. |

Maki for Syro is a no brainer. He can't keep up with DD & JM, and production from these two is one of the keys to victory. His no goals and 3 assists in his last 12 games isn't acceptable.
If we have as much trouble Thursday as we had in game 2 moving the puck out of our zone-LV did a tremendous job of forechecking-then perhaps the insertion of Perkins and/or McElroy (for game 4) might be considered as these two are pretty good at getting the puck out of our zone.
Latendresse has been a bit off-I think that he's 'bit' into the LV physical approach and didn't play his normal style the first two games. His adjustment should be easy. And it would be nice if DD shot just a bit more. I thought that he fell into his 'perfect pass' mindset in game 2.
We've got the horses. Everything worked to perfection for LV in game 2. It won't every game. Cyclones in 6. |

I talked to TJ at Sunday's game and he said there's "little chance" of him coming back, so Perkins would be the substitution on defense if there is one. Personally I've been wanting Perkins in the lineup since he got in the lineup at mid-season. For some reason a lot of fans don't like him, but IMO he's a great skater, he can move the puck up ice, and he's surprisingly good on the PP. He's not too bad for a rookie defenseman who's only played half a season.
Does anyone have a clue what's happened to Syro? Is his ankle injury not 100% healed and it's bothering him or what? He's a 30 goal scorer who has basically done nothing in the playoffs. He's having a hard time playing 5 on 5 and just looks lost out there sometimes.
I really wouldn't change a thing from game 2. We played fine, but just didn't get a bounce. Lalande had 3 huge saves on point blank shots in the 3rd period, and a couple more in the second period. So we need to do the same thing we did in game 2 except score on those point blank chances and we'll be fine. |

| Everyone knew that coming into the Kelly Cup that this series will be a very exciting series. I know a couple of times Chad Starling got beat on defense but Ceddy helped him out. Just the little things. Stop the pass into the middle would help. We had the shots on goals. LaLande was in my eyes outstanding in game 2. Ceddy was outstanding in game 2 as well. I thought a shot out was going to happen but a lucky bounce. Game 3,4,5 will be interesting but let's bring it back home!! Go Cyclones! |
Let's GO CYCLONES! and Blue Jackets! and Miami RedHawks! |

We seemed a little slow on transition Sunday night. Passes weren't as great. Too much hesitation. Just get pucks to the net and they'll find their way. Lalande can't save these guys every game.
Play smart hockey in Game 3 because you know Vegas will want to show off a bit in front of their home crowd. Enough of this yapping b.s. after whistles. Their coach had their players on a leash all of Game 2 and I don't think these guys can stay cool for too long, from what we saw in Game 1.

| I have to agree, LV played much better in game 2 but Lalande kept them in game. After the end of the second I was predicting exactly the type of goal that was going to win, just a floaty throw it to the net type of goal. Game 2 could have gone either way and if we had gotten the bounces that game could have easily been 6-1 good guys. I'm pretty optimistic about the vegas trip, certainly not worried after hearing the guys were so relaxed on the way to Columbus. |
