Ex-Stingers defenseman Barry Melrose is expected to be named the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning with a deal that will be worth more than $2 million per season.

The Lightning's new ownership group, which includes former IHL Cyclone Len Barrie, who will own up to 47 percent of the team, is expected to be approved by the NHL June 18.

Anyone know what Barrie has been doing to be in the position of owning 47% of a team?
