From 1530 Homer...

Cyclones are now looking at 8,000 to 10,000 tonight at US Bank Arena for Game 6 of The Kelly Cup Finals. If needed, Game 7 would be Saturday at US Bank Arena.
If you are attending tonight, and buying tickets, arrive early.....there could be long lines.
Like the Stanley Cup, The Kelly Cup trophy is being delivered by league officials in tuxedos and white gloves.

Can't wait to see and hear how loud we are tonight... The boys deserve it. I'm starting to get that nervous, nauseous feeling that I get before play-off games. At first I thought it was just nerves, but I think it's really just excitement and anticipation. I felt this way before the game on Monday, so here's hoping it's a sign of things to come...

GO CYCLONES!

Congratulations on the big crowd. The Cyclones really pulled 'em in the last two series. They had 90,832 for the 36 regular season games and 54,289 for the 11 playoff games. For the total of 47 games Cincinnati played this year, including playoffs, the average attendance was 3,088.

That's 575 less than Dayton averaged for 36 games and a 5th place team. (smile)

Enjoy the cup.

That was sweet. What an awesome game. What an awesome crowd. That has to be the largest crowd since the IHL All Star game. The multiple chants going, seats filled all the way to the top row of the upper bowl. CINCINNATI HOCKEY IS ON THE MAP!

Dayton's announced average this season was 3663. In reality it was just a tad over 2000 per game (the announced was 80% higher than actual-explanation: The Bummers lie on attendance). The Cyclones announced average was 2523. I had the real figure at 2424 (5% overage-easily explained by no shows or mild inaccuracy of my estimates). The Cyclones, in reality, outdrew the Bummers by 20%.

During this season's Kelly Cup Playoffs, the Cyclones averaged a legitimate 4,935 per game. 54,289 overall (11 games) The Bummer's one game had an announced attendance of 1581-it was closer to 600.

Last season the Bummer's Kelly Cup attendance was announced at 21,691 for their 12 home games. That came to a whopping 1,808 per game. Which was probably exagerrated.

Just posting this to put the attendance in its real perspectives. Hockey is looking healthy in Cincinnati. It is definitely not in Dayton.
