Did anyone see the boot on Bryan Schmidt foot today? Did anyone know that he broke it during the 1st period of the game Thursday? Hockey players are the toughest MoFo on the earth. |

| I saw it on him today, but didn't notice anything at the game. They are tough MF'ers... LOL I'm sure the adrenaline of winning the Kelly Cup was helping, but still! Kudos to Bryan! He did his part in winning the Cup! |
What you do today can change the course of your life far into the future. Today is critical. Today really counts. |

i saw him block a shot in the first with his skate. i would guess it happened then. he limped a bit when it happened but couldn't get off the ice...i think we were on the PK.
i'll admit that i haven't been the biggest fan of schmidt all season, but i'd have to admit that he really stepped it up in the post season. there were only a few times that his offensive thinking got him into trouble. he also did a much better job in the d-zone.
my hats off to him for stepping up and playing the way he did. let's not forget conrad and his cut hand, and the other guys that were playing banged up. the bottom line is that THIS TEAM WAS SPECIAL. as much as i'd like to see them repeat the whole thing next year, i really don't think i'll see a team perform the way these guys did night in and night out again. thanks to all the boys! |

Schmidt was a dominant defensive force in the finals. He finally started playing the defensive style that he plays in the AHL. Had a chance to chat with him briefly. Nice kid-as they almost all seem to be.
The team looked like a M*A*S*H unit at the rally. Tough cookies, those hockey players. |
