Can anyone speculate as to where Matt might be for the 2008-2009 season. I thought he was a 2 way player with Rockford? If he is up next year like alot of our players might be that would be perfect for me to get his Finals game-worn my wife bought for me for Fathers day signed, we have family in Rockford. regardless where he might be a road trip will be planned to get my jersey signed if he's not here
Matt is on the protected list, without repeating one's self, what does that mean? sounds like there is an outside chance is will still be a Clone, unless he goes to the AHL. As long as he doesn't bolt for the Europe leagues
I can give you a good example of the protect list for someone like Macker... If he signs anywhere in the AHL next year and that AHL team decides to send him down for any reason... he has to come here... IE... Rockford's ECHL affiliate was Pensacola... instead of him being sent to P-cola... we would get him back.
At least, this is the way I understand it... Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe that if he has an AHL/NHL contract they can choose to send him anywhere in the ECHL... but if He has no AHL/NHL contract Cincy has rights to him first...
As i've said in a few other threads, players will probably be sent here from Hamilton because of how good a team we have going and how successful the players Hamilton had from Cincy have done.
