For your sake I hope it's another Miss game. It's 21 hours round trip from Biloxi to Ft Meyers!
Although you guys are missing an away game and we're missing a home game out of this whole mess so I wouldn't doubt seeing another Dayton Cinci game tacked on.
Upon further review it looks like the following northern teams are minus games because of this.
Dayton -1 home Cinci -1 home -1 away Wheeling -2 home Johnstown -1 away
Wonder how they'll fill the holes. |

I got a great idea-if Youngstown can handle the extra travel for this year-how about them taking over the Ice Pilot's schedule with those home games taking place in Youngstown. Then next year they can move them to our division along with Toledo and what an Ohio schedule for road and home games we would have! |

They would still have to redo the schedule. In that senario Mississippi plays a game in Youngstown in Feb then the next day in Ft Meyers. 18 hours 48 min on a bus. They'd have to tweek the schedule no matter what.
Besides, I don't see Youngstown (who's having money problems,) finding enough cash to buy an expansion team in this league. |

its still a nice thought. i know it wont happen. but then again crazier things have happened. i figured if it'd happen echl would have to tweak the schedule and perhaps offer some travel assistence for one season with a deal youngstown enters our division the season after |

well when you consider columbia is returning 09-10 and myrtle beach "expects" to start in 09-10 the south will be doing fine. our conferance will be nearly all ohio and carolina teams that season when toledo joins if both carolina teams join in 09-10 (with or without youngstown). |

This creates serious problems for the teams in the SOUTH- because it screws up travel for the SEA WOLVES and the EVERBLADES. Texas is also out...so the TRAVEL is going to be terrible for these teams! I don't see the SEA WOLVES surviving after this season. They just paid a lot of money to rebuild that franchise after loosing almost everything in the Hurricane- INSURANCE did NOT cover it because they didn't have FLOOD INSURANCE.
Travel alone is going to eat them up. :( |
