i'm honestly lost for words after seeing such a pitiful performance. i guess tonight was just reason enough to back my previous post on the dayton game thread. i'm glad that someone has shown up to play the last few games---Randy. too bad he couldn't help us try to score a goal or two eh? ahhhh god. i am so frustrated w/ this team right now. can someone else back me up on this? feel free to disagree, because i would love to find some kind of positive about the teams performance as of late. (excluding petruk) |

| I totally agree. Randy is the only bright spot on the team right now. Again I say with all these damn changes in the lineup. Brett getting call up but Garrett back, he still looked good tonight. Our passing is so bad right now. Giving up a shorty and a breakaway. Just dont know right now, think we are really missing Jeremy right now. I know he has not be a goal scorer but just him being on the ice add something extra to the team. Lets win one in Peoria tomorrow. |

The biggest problems this team has are with passing and controlling the puck. Prosoffsky performed a beautiful deke last night on a Peoria player, only to quickly lose the puck. The passing's just sloppy and I know folks will say, "Well, that's ECHL for you" but my gods, how many complete passes did we see Peoria make?
And someone needs to tell the players: Send one guy after the puck. And if the puck's coming at you, don't back up from it.
Sheesh... a lot of work to be done. |

The team won tonight 2-1. Masters was in goal. Over 5,000 at the game.....oh wouldn't that be nice! |

Hewy is actually 8-2 now. Noga and Boots both have 18 points while Bootland leading the team in goals with 8. Stars team stats can be found here http://www.columbusstars.com/UHL/team/statistics/ |

| I went to the game last night versus Fort Wayne and they looked very good, in spite of losing 2-1. After the game, we took Tyler down to the locker room to see Hew-y, Noga, Boots & Coach Cam. They were VERY happy to see us and Nick's daughter was all smiles and hugs for her long lost friend! Nobody WANTED to leave Cincinnati, but the ownership disaster was too ugly and Malcolm got caught in the middle. Remember, everyone was grumbling like this last year and we ended up a game from the Finals - be patient! |

Just remember this last offseason included a strike where players had to make a decision on a lesser team and a contract or waiting on the ECHL and still maybe not having a job. I think at the halfway point of the seasons, alot of the players will be back in our league. I think the coaching situation may have been like Don Biggs two years ago, going after an old fan favorite trying to catch old fans. Randy Petruk's numbers look good, but I would feel much better with more clean stops with his glove and less blocker/stick saves resulting in rebounds. Each game it seems a defenseman needs to play goalie because a puck is sitting in the crease or Randy is four feet from the net. At least he doesn't seem to be spinning around anymore. |

I've give credit where credit is due. Trukker's really picked it up these last few games and I'm perfectly willing to eat crow for criticizing him the past few weeks if he plays like this the rest of the way. The guy's been standing on his head.
If we find our offense again, look out. |

| randy is playing his ass off and the defense is letting players buzz around the slot like crazy. rebounds will happen... thats part of a defensemens job in front of his net anyway. CLEAR IT or put a body on somebody. |
