Simple solution-quit charging triple-A prices for double-A product. Dayton newspaper just ran a story about the bad shape of the Bombers. Their PAYED count per game is about 1700. My answer is charge $6 for ends and $9 upper middle and $10 for lower level middle. With profits from food sales alone you will make up for the loss. Ads would be much easier to sell on the boards with 6,000 attendance average. High prices is the reason my wife and I wait to either rent a movie or go to the super-saver cinemas over the first run houses. |

That's where I will be Saturday night. Probably scouting for 2004-05 season tickets. |

| God someone needs to tell all the Elder fanatics that no one gives a damn about their stupid high school except for the people that go there, went there, or live near there. It's an embarrasment to Cincinnati to see so much ridiculous hype about some stupid high school, please stop. I don't need to see it at minor league hockey and I don't need to see it once a year at the Bengals games either. We did enjoy booing and telling them to get the hell off the field so the game could continue though. |

| Addendum to my above list of people that care about Elder, the Enquirer obviously gets a chubby anytime you mention high school sports, but we all already agree on the abysmalness of that rag. |

Maybe because they're the only team (H.S., College, Minor Pro or Major Pro) in the area that actually WON anything? If the Reds, Bengals, Bearcats or Musketeers ever win anything we can have them during intermission! Better yet, have the Cyclones win the Kelly Cup and be honored at a Ducks game |

With a less than 500 record, doesn't look like it will be this year.

I can guarantee you that there are many, many more people in Cincinnati that care about Elder High School sports than care about the Cyclones.
There will probably be more Elder fans at the Ducks game tonight than total fans at the Cyclones game. And believe me, it pains me to say that. I haven't been to a Cyclones game in over a month, and to tell you the truth I don't miss it. If you question my loyality to this organization (at least in the past) just look at my license plate. |

It's been updated...
http://www.inthecrease.com/attendo/01262004.cfm
92 out of 98 (97 if you count out Columbus)
Can they get to 2000 average???? Stay tuned folks. With the upcoming "Pack the House" night, things might be looking up.
Congrats to Dayton. 10,000+. It was either last year or the year before there was talk in the office of bringing in Dale Jr. but he was to expensive. So they brought in the guy in the Home Depot car. I forget his name. |

This is scary...
The team with the worst record in the league Greenville Grrrowl (7-30 .213 win percentage) averages 4,309.4 which is 2355.7 more than the Clones. That's 54.7% greater attendance.
According to the Greenville Chamber of Commerce their estimated 2001 population is 386,963. Greater Cincinnati's population is "almost 2 million". H$ll, with that many people in the city area, you'd think you could get more than 1,953.7 per game.
Greenville population data provided by: http://www.greenvillechamber.org/interior.asp?pageid=28&navid=62&navtreeid=0&level=3&content=Population&id=34&recid=34
Cincinnati population data provided by: http://www.gccc.com/about_cincinnati/
It's fun to dig into the numbers. And yes, I have to much time on my hands |

I've been saying that since I moved here! I come from a similar-sized major metropolitan area and they get 3 million a year for baseball, football is sold out every game AND the hockey team gets 16-20k a game! If those people are paying $15-100 a ticket, why can't we get 10% of that for $7-17 a ticket?
It's pathetic! |

| The attendance this year is based on people walking through the gates, not tickets sold. The Clones are not giving multitudes of tickets away. It is now a realistic count, unlike the past few years. Remember that when comparing past years to this years attendance. Still pathetic, but not as bad as it looks. |

I know this season has been a disaster both on the ice and in the stands. When you compare Greenville with Cincinnati, tell me how many pro teams they have to compete with. Peoria can draw 5,000 fans because the press doesn't have a baseball,a football, three college basketball teams(counting Kentucky) to cover. Here in town we also have a HIGHER level hockey team to take away the hard-core hockey fans. Add the fact that the management of our team doesn't seem to realize that minor league is just that-MINOR LEAGUE!! Promotions are intended to make the fan feel he is getting his money worth. If the price is dirt cheap, you can draw a crowd just for something to do. If the team is in first place, the team will draw some people. We have gotten spoiled by always making the playoffs and always having a good team. This year it is time for us to take our lumps . One final thing Clawd. I know you are upset with what happened between you and the team. It's over and let it be. Come on down and enjoy the team or walk away. However thank you for giving us something to talk about.THIS IS MY OPINION-THE RANTING OF A LUNATIC! |

No! Never! I will not take my lumps!
Gads... nice overtime win last night. It's a shame Church had to be such a cement head and deck Marchant. Please, please, please, let the 'clones build on this win. |

i agree Gonz.
we are 9 points away from 5th place, which is playoff contention. even though trenton has some games in hand, things are still possible. i'm not giving up until we are officially out of it.
last night the team still looked a little rough, but we came away with a much needed win.
and yes... PLEASE let this start a snowball off wins.
it's too bad it'll be awhile before we play Reading again. Brad Church... what a chickensh!t. |
