[size=2]how can Chico justify the trade he just made? how can our players have any pride in this "team" when you can go out and bust your a$$, make things happen... and still not know if you will be on the team by next game?

here we are w/ 1/3 of the season left and coach still hasn't found "it". you either have it by now or you don't.

Agreed. And even worse, Chico didn't even trade Marchant to a contender. He is the absolute worst GM since Ron Smith. I take that back... the worst since Mike Brown.

The only "it" Chichocki has right now has an "sh" in front of it.

On paper it looks like an awful trade. One goddamned person with double digit goals 45 games in? Let's hope he proves us all wrong...

It all comes down to the arena. They don't care. The players do not care and the coach does not care. The writing is on the wall. I'm a season ticket holder and haven't been to a game in awhile. I'm not going this weekend either. What a waste of money! This is the worst season ever!

i'll be there as usual... only i think i'm going to bring the paper bag to hide under when it starts to get ugly.
if they don't show up saturday night against Wheeling, just pray the tally isn't double digits.

Wednesday and Friday games sure made me proud to be a season ticket
holder! I told a Dayton fan Wednesday that we are still waiting for
the league to allow Randy to bring his "seeing eye" dog on the ice
with him. Hey Chris, when your two or three goals down with three
minutes and a power play, WHY IS THE GOALIE STILL IN THE NET!!!!!
We could have had a chance against Dayton if we had pressed them
earlier with the 6 on 4. Last night we looked active, but no one wants
to shoot and when they do they miss the net. I am getting my bag ready
for tonight. I just hope that Tyler is in goal tonight again. All three
of his goals allowed were at least REAL shots.Another thing, who's the
gay looking guy who replaced Sarah? What is this, queer guy for the
straight sport.

i think i recognize that guy. a few years back, there was an indie pro wrestling called REAL DEAL WRESTLING (wrasslin' for some of you folk) where most events were being held in Fairfield... anyway, i swear this guy was the ring announcer. i couldn't stop laughing at him because i'm pretty sure that's who it was. i guess he's found the bigtime now working 'clones games.

Will not comment on the lack luster play or the loss of pride and willingness to give 100% on the ice. Frustrating to dwell on that. And enough has already been said.

Just wanted to say that I, for one, enjoyed his enthusiasm and being able to understand just what this announcer was saying! Found out that he has always been one that enjoys hockey and is willing to take on the task. Sarah was ok but her voice was not 'annoucer' material!! HEY!!!>>>>>> look at it this way............he will make the rest of the season a bit more fun! Wether you laugh at him or with him.........IS NOT FUN FOR THE FANS A PART OF THE GAME EXPERIENCE?????

Well I will give you that -he does have a voice for the job and
does have the spirit. It was funny seeing the old(but best) emblem
on the tux top. It was also good for the men having the young "hotties"
riding the zamboni during resurface time. My wife was right next to
me so you know the rules-you can look but you can't touch! Maybe the
season is lost for the team, but maybe management will devote some
effort into making the fans happy. Keep the $1 beer special, give us
more ticket discount nights-at least on the remaining Sunday-Thursday
games, and keep trying anything you can think of.Why not send Twister
out with a hundred thundersticks every game for the kids(boy I'm glad
I don't have any!).How about $1 Coke nights to gear for the families
and non drinkers.

Btw, I read on the inthecrease board that we've traded Jade Galbraith to Pensacola.

I really am starting to believe that Chichoki is trading anyone that puts forth any effort at all in games.

This is the worst hockey team I've ever had the misfortune of watching. If anyone at Nederlander is listening...

You have a team filled with goons that can't fight, we're second last in the league in PIM's, no scoring punch, and no goaltending. Does anyone at that arena know anything about running a hockey team???? I've heard we keep trading players because the one's we have won't play Chico's system. Well guess what, Chico's system doesn't work!!! At the start of the season we had a team that I firmly believed had the talent to go all the way if we could settle our goaltending situation. Instead our brilliant GM traded away all of our scoring and never addressed the fact that Randy apparently couldn't stop a peewee shot from the blue line with no traffic in front.

When your goaltenders give up goals in succesive games on the first two shots, you have a problem. When your GM trades away your top scorer for a guy that refuses to report, you have a problem. When your team plays like they'd rather be at the dentist, than playing hockey you have a major problem!!

Matt Dunne said the fact that there is no electricity in the building is a result of the play on the ice, well Matt, time to ante up and change how the team is playing.

Time to fire the GM, and get someone that knows something about running a team and inspiring players instead of making the record for most transactions by a dead last team.

If you want to ensure that attendance drops to nothing and ensure we have no team next year, just keep doing what your doing, 'cause that's the talk in the stands.

I can't remember the last time before this year that I've heard Cyclones fans that have been loyal for years and years, asking why they bother coming anymore just to watch our team roll over and play dead.

Wake up call Nederlander and Matt, this team $ucks!!!!!

ditto.

BTW, what's with the announced attendance last night, 3703? Is it just me, or did there seem to be more that that?

There did seem to be more than the announced attendance......it must have been those sh%tty thunder sticks!
I liked the new announcer. As said previously, you can understand him. While I liked Sarah as a person, I couldn't understand her. She shouted in the microphone. Her voice wasn't arena friendly.
I turned to my husband last night and said....." This just isn't fun to watch." He called me a fair-weather fan.
I can't imagine what it will feel like come April and the team doesn't make the playoffs.
