Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the death of my aunt Mary. She lived in Windsor and is the reason I now hold dual American and Canadian citizenship :) THANK YOU PRIME MINISTER HARPER!
Last night, the team she had season tickets for for 33 years since their inception, the Windsor Spitfires, advanced to the Memorial Cup final and have regained their rise back to favoritism amongst those people who have a set big enough to bet on junior amateur hockey up there.
I wanted to bring this all to your attention because 1. Mary would have held a hockey stick above my head ready to bash my brains in if I didnt, 2. I have taken the Spitfires in myself and have dubbed them the Cyclones of Canada, 3. I havent sent anything non-Cyclone related in awhile and I figured I would rile up a few feathers.
Sunday night is the final, when Windsor plays the Kelwona Rockets for the crown. Ill be watching, Mary will definitley be watching from up above, and I hope you guys take a break from the Kelly Cup Finals to see hockey at its best... I mean, Windsor is the canadian equivalent of the Cyclones, and was better than our champion Clones (76 wins in 92 games)
Go Clones, Go Spits, and Go Mary!!!
again, just a thought...
