The Guns and Hoses game was fun to watch. The Cops had a real pro on their team.......Donnie Biggs! It was great to see him on the ice again. The Clones game was the best we have seen in a very long time! Shots, hitting and scoring.....and a WIN! It was a great team effort. Oh, and Worlton got his first point as a Clone! The new players the team aquired this week are super! Good luck in Alaska!!
It was great to see an effort on the ice in front of a big crowd(for this year). We finally saw the physical play that Chris has been talking about all year. It probably helps to have the same team two nights in a row.Maybe the brighter lights are helping Randy, or maybe the team being helpful around the net.At least three times I saw Randy make a stop and someone backed him up with a clear or even that stop in overtime. The team has one more goal to reach-finish ahead of Dayton.Just when I was ready to put the bag on,they have to go and have two games with effort! One more thing-I say let's have Friday night's "REF" as our mascot next year.
These past two nights were probably the best games they've played since Irbe was here with Johnstown. Let's hope this is a building block towards next season and get some of these guys back.
Gonz, you're post on ITB said it best. Trenton had to play catch-up hockey all night. something the cyclones aren't used to having--- A LEAD most of the time.
a few players on this team have really stepped up lately. 3 that come to mind are Stork and Worlton. definitely improving as the season winds down, but if they are capable of playing night after night like they have been, i cannot be unhappy.
Stork continuing to play good man to man and knocking guys around... Worlton hustling his ass off, keeping his head straight and playing hockey. made a nice backcheck last night to poke away the puck on a trenton rush.
Lewandowski wearing Deis' number... not the only thing in common with him. the guy showed last night some good skating and cuts to the net.
