For anyone interested in THIS YEAR game worn jerseys, check out EBAY and type in Cincinnati Cyclones. Although I prefer the old logo, I may have to take a stab at one.
I was checking out the auctions and see that $147 is still not enough to reach the reserve limit on one of them. I noticed also that no charity is given so is this just a money making sale for someone? If so, why didn't the team just keep it inhouse and let the team at least get the money and the fans at the games a chance to buy them.
The jersey sale is for the MeiGray Group. They own the jerseys the guys wore during the first half of the season (set 1), both home and away. This was the way it went last year also. The team owns the jerseys they are wearing now (set 2) and should have their own auction at the end of the year like always. I would except the reserve price on ebay to be about #300. If you go to www.meigray.com and select the Cyclones team you will see some jersey from last year and this year and all are over $350 except 2.
Thanks Scott for the info. Like everything about the team, nobody knows the full story. For this reason I have liked making comments and either getting the full story or talk on the subject from this site.
I have a bunch of jersey's that I'm considering selling on Ebay. All proceeds would goto the "Help pay off Clawd's debts" fund. A very worthy cause I must say.
It amazes me what they think they can get for a AA minor league game worn. Sorry to tell the MeiGray group this, but your not going to get $350 for a jersey of a guy who will never play above the AA level.
I agree with you. I bought an old logo-non game jersey earlier on ebay for less than $50 shipped from Las Vegas! I would love to get a true jersey (prefer old logo) for a fair price. If anyone has one they might want to part with, email me at bageljmst@fuse.net with a price and description and I'll get back with you. Please mark the subject as "cyclones jersey" so i'll know it from our 500 Viagra spams!
