I'm sure most of you have heard the recording outside USBank Arena as you approach the building? The recording that welcomes you and lists out the various things that are prohibited from bringing inside. Well, they may now be adding a few more items to that growing list:
Welcome to the USBANK Arena. The following are prohibited from being brought into the building: Weapons, knives, video cameras, glass bottles, cans, SILLY STRING, and TOILET PAPER ROLLS.
I can't believe it! It's the FINAL Home game of the season (perhaps EVER) and USBank Arena security will NOT let SILLY STRING or TOILET PAPER Rolls into the building?!!? Being this could have been our last Cyclones Game, Section 60 decided to have a "bring back the memories" night. Silly String, Toilet Paper (seeing how far it could be passed around), Sieve On A Stick, "Crowns", King Dons, etc... Security wouldn't let us in with the Silly String! (They even got on the radio to double check that Silly String was NOT PERMITTED) [I've seen Twister use Silly String in the past?] They did finally let the Toilet Paper Roll slide after promising that NOTHING would hit the ice! (Which was NOT our intent.) HOWEVER.... We had tied up one of the "Section 60 T-Shirts" to the railing in front of our section and set the Toilet Paper Roll partially unrolled beside the T-Shirt. Halfway through the first period, security comes down and TAKES THE TOILET PAPER ROLL!!! **IT WAS DOING NOTHING BUT SITTING NICELY "WATCHING THE GAME"!!** Ok, MAYBE it was distracting someones view? Oh wait!, they left the T-Shirt hanging!! Geezz!!
These events REALLY put a damper on OUR final Home Game Celebration. Other then that, we did bring back some of the old "cheers"... "YELL", "Whoop There it is", etc... And SOMEHOW, Silly String DID make it inside. 
It was great seeing Chris (Snowbird/Clawd/Twister), Sarah (former redhead promotions person), [during Weds game] Amanda (Susan/Monica) (former promtions person before Sarah!).
I want to also mention that I believe we had the MOST security standing above our section watching over us all night then ANY other section! Last night felt like our final days at The Gardens before we moved downtown. COME ON PEOPLE, WE'RE JUST HAVING FUN!!
Best of Luck to all of the Cyclones, fingers crossed for some positive news in the upcoming months! If not, it was a great 14 years!!

i noticed you guys from section 112... i saw the silly string come out and how those a$$holes starting confiscating it. i liked the hidden can that got sprayed on his way back up the stairs. for some reason i'm kind of wanting to see a return back to the gardens. the water bottle pissed me off... the security this year a few times has pissed me off. i just hate the arena anymore.
no silly string allowed... but bring all the bird sh!t you want! |

| You guys should've been careful. Don't you realize that if y'all had gotten thrown out you wouldn't be allowed to future Cyclones games??? |

| I felt the treatment last night was worse than the gardens when in fact they knew we were leaving for downtown.The u ass bank arena sercurity was(is)a big joke.I will not forget the hassle we received last night over some dumn **** like that.I doubt i will ever return.I told the gal who asked for the T.P.which i brought in with me,to enjoy it.I also said maybe this has something to do with the lack of attendence for the season.One word comes to mind NAZIS!To bad for the fans to bad for the clones. |
