Former Cincinnati Mighty Ducks goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere was acquired today by the Toronto Maple Leafs from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for left wing Jason Blake and former Kentucky Thoroughblades goaltender Vesa Toskala.
The trade to Toronto reunites Giguere with his former goaltending coach in Anaheim, Francois Allaire.
After being promoted from Cincinnati during the 2000-01 season, Giguere led Anaheim to two Stanley Cup finals, winning the Cup in 2007.

Don't forget the other trade Toronto made also. Maple Leafs swap forwards Niklas Hagman, Matt Stajan and Jamal Mayers, plus defenseman Ian White for defensemen Dion (sloppy seconds according to Sean Avery) Phaneuf and Keith Aulie and forward Fredrik Sjostrom.
