Sure hope so. The bad part on this whole issue is you have a few
over-rich owners like Detroit and Colorado who try and buy a title,
forcing all the other owners to overspend just to keep a good player.
Look at baseball when the owners tried to curb free agent spending
they got taken to court for colusion and lost.What the NHL and all
other leagues should do is say payroll cannot be over 10% of team
total income.The more you make-the more you can spend.If your over
the 10% mark, you must drop payroll or face a forfeit of your games
until under the mark. |
