Initially, I felt that was an impressive attendance number....my bad. First game, not really that impressive. Can this go long term? or simply a novelty. |

For the level of arena football that it is, and for the lack of top of mind awareness, it's not a bad attendance number at all. It's significantly better than the first (or any game) the higher league af2 Jungle Kats had at USBA in 2007. All of their games are broadcast on 1160-AM with Richard Skinner and former Bengals kicker Jim Breech calling the action. |

They had to delay the start of the game because of the walk-up crowd. I'm not trying to bash it at all, but it was very obvious that not a lot of $$$ was put into it (ie field issues) and they weren't expecting nearly as many people. I'll be interested to see what the attendance is like for their next game. Who knows, maybe their next center will know how to snap the ball... :-) |

Based on what the Jungle Kats and Marshals drew at USBA, they probably didn't expect the turnout to be what it was.
If you look at the things the Cyclones do (game program, media guide, website, for example), there's not a lot of $$$ put into them, either. |

Okay let me start by saying this is not a nasty question, just a question. Where did they advertise this team to get over 5000 people? I did not see a single ad anywhere. We thought about going but were late at a hockey event and never made it. |

The only place I saw it advertised, Justmom, was Saturday morning on Local12 news with their "Out and About with Jen Dalton" segment (I think that's what it's called). |

They were saying on the radio that the Gardens expected about 1000, and had 5000 show up. I think that was based on their ticket sales, so obviously they didn't expect nearly that much of a turnout in walk-ups. I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out. I didn't see it advertised, but they have a lot of players from UC etc., so somehow people knew about it. |

I saw a commercial for the team during the UC WVU basketball game in the week leading up to the game. I hope the Commandos succeed I love indoor football. |
