What is up with Pierce?

Roeder should be back soon.
Pierce was injured back early in the month. IR assignments are retro-active so from what chuck said Monday I think he can actually come off IR as early as Friday and the move was simply to make room on the 3 and 7 day. I'm not sure what the injury is but I wouldn't mention it here regardless. Chuck said he was receiving treatment and it was a wait and see game as to how he would recover.
As the playoffs get closer, injury info gets more and more cryptic for obvious reasons. |

| Also, Prokop was claimed by Victoria. Not 100% how hockey waivers work, but are the cyclones allowed to pull him back, or did he get forced on waivers due to the cyclones having too many players? |

| All injuries at this level and in the AHL are always cryptic because I think that is how the rules are at this level and they dont have to give details |

@ dtwells - Once a waived player is claimed his rights belong to the team which claimed him. Prokop was cleared to make roster room for players coming off IR and returning from the AHL (Krantz and Cashman).
The only way the Cyclones could reclaim him is if Victoria were to waive him and he were to clear, i.e. no one above the Cyclones in the waiver wire pecking order were to claim him. That is my understanding of it at least. |
