After much speculation, the field appears now to be set. Charlotte just won the conference by getting to OT vs. Florida. They are assured of one point and hold the tiebreaker over Kalamazoo.
1 Charlotte Vs. 8 Toledo 4 South Carolina Vs. 5 Cincinnati
This division and conference was *fun*. If Wheeling hadn't fallen off so completely at the end the North could have had all 4 teams in the playoffs. Nice to be in a league where earning a playoff berth means something again.
You guys got the bad draw out of it all with Charlotte taking the conference though -- now you have to play SC. Not much of a reward for a good season... if not for a tiebreaker (since Charlotte just lost in the SO looks like) SC could easily be sitting in that 1 spot instead (or Kalamazoo I guess).
Any of you Cyclones fans making the trip to Charleston, or are you going to wait and see how the first 2 games go first?
I'm sure we will be planning on tailgating Sat. and maybe even Sun. if there is a game 4 and game 5.
Quite possibly making the trip barring some unforseen circumstances (see That 70's Show where Hyde moves in with the Formans, nuff said). Or maybe I can catch a ride with someone going.
