Who are the Clones scratches tonight?
I have seen Jozsa and Motherwell, and I assume the new goalie is dressed. The only player I don't recall seeing is McKenzie |

McKenzie is on the IR which makes room for Motherwell. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

Got to love them. Kelly Cup team was so good offensively with talent it was expected. This team does it defensively and with heart. |

Glad this one did not go into overtime but it was still reminiscent of the last three games with SC. Teams evenly matched - but Char sure was chippy. I saw lots of cheap shots on our guys, but the Clones kept their focus and kept banging away. Both Motherwell & LaCroix had goals. In Hamel's interview with LaCroix, he said he was thrilled to be back because he was getting scratched every night. In the interview with Motherwell, he said he was playing lots of special teams in Bridgeport. For Char, I didn't think Munce was impressive at all. I think we can continue to score on him.
At worst, the Clones will come back home with a 1-1 split. At best, they could close out the series at home.
Finally, I felt like the B2 feed from Char was worth the money. As some others have said, it was good quality for a minor league broadcast. Plus, its a blast to hear Hamel during commercials.

Love the way they are playing except they have to get the power play going. Now 2/24 in the playoffs (8%). Been weak the whole last half of the year. Would be wonderful to get it going for the rest of the year. Lets hope it all averages out in the end |

Winning game 1 on the road is always great!
Charlotte will be chippy the entire series. They are a bigger, nastier team than we are, and I suspect their game plan will be to just beat us up and wear us down. Lets hope it doesn't work.

Fridays game was physical, but I don't think we took the beating that S.C. was routinely dishing out to us. Like Chuck said, we need to avoid penaltys so we avoid their power play. I think giving up two p.p. goals hurt us worse than the physical aspect. Both Motherwell & LaCroix had goals. Great way to return to the Clones.Thats what we've been missing. Great job and lets do it again Sat! |
