I was just wondering who the lucky bidder was last night on Mark VanGuilder's jersey. Last time I looked, it was our leader Jim Evers. |

I took a gander at the merch stand yesterday and didn't see any indication that an auction was being held......I had heard about one, didn't stay around long enough to inquire though........side note, I think that the merch stand has stood up with a couple rather nice looking t-shirts. I would however prefer to replace the shirts with Cup cahmpions! Can we please stop playing with our food and get this over with already Thursday and Friday |

Scuba it was at the FAN CLUB'S booth, not the merchandise stand run by the organization.
Jim-if it was you, I'm guessing you'll be contacted by the Pres. |

The winner of the Mark Van Guilder Pink in the Rink jersey was a woman (her name escapes me right now). The winning bid was $700 that all went to HP4K. Dustin asked us to facilitate these auctions as he is, obviously, indisposed. LOL
The silent auction was indeed held at the fan club booth behind section 117. There will be jersey silent auctions at the fan club booth for the games on Thursday and Friday as well. Come by to check them out! |

To dtwells & fans: I've heard that for tonight's auction it will be Chris Morehouse's.
Remember it's at the Fan Club booth! :-) All money goes to HP4K. |

Jim, technically a silent auction is just an auction where the bids are written down instead of taken by an auctioneer, where the bidders can see the previous bids. Private silent auction, or sealed bids is what you are thinking of, where bids are written on individual sheets of paper and submitted and the highest bidder wins without having known what any of the other bids were.
Tonight's jersey is indeed for Chris Morehouse's Pink in the Rink jersey. All of the proceeds of tonight's auction goes towards the "Stick to Reading" program through HP4K, that Chris started last year. I'll check to see what tomorrow's jersey will be and post it here. Thanks! |

The jerseys being auctioned off, are they actual game worns from the game? and if so I thought the jerseys were auctioned off after the game like previous years. |

Thats what im wondering SCUBA. I know Mark was up in Milwaukee when they had the Pink the Rink night, so maybe they didnt auction his since its a game issue anyway. But Morehouse did, I suppose its possible the person who bought it gave it back for HP4K to auction to help them out? |

These jerseys are not game worn. They are authentic game issued type jerseys though. The boys got the opportunity to buy another jersey if they wanted it for themselves, so Dustin took the opportunity to get them to be auctioned off.
They are also each signed by the player. Tonight's jerseys are rumored to be Jamie Coghlan and Scott Reynolds. Nothing for sure yet though. Mel Reynolds is supposed to let me know when she finds out for sure. |
