The Columbus Blue Jackets have made an offer to Guy Boucher to be their next head coach. Boucher, head coach of the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, will let the Blue Jackets know if he's taking the job next week.

Claude Noel, who finished the 2009-10 season as the Blue Jackets interim head coach, will be named head coach of Columbus' new AHL affiliate in Springfield if Boucher accepts the job.
