Doesn't sound good, esp. since the league's free agent camp/draft is this weekend. Their camp is full other than a few slots acc. to their press release. The draft is Sunday and supposed to be live on their website.
Things seem to be picking up now - they've started signing players, are starting a booster club, and are going to announce another team this weekend. Either the team or league website is supposed to have something on Sunday during their draft.
And is someone from their organization reading this board?? LOL They corrected the address on their contact info. I'm guessing when they did the site they used a fake address as filler and hadn't gone back and changed it. I thought it was sounding iffy there for awhile but things seem to be falling in place. Good luck to them.
Bottom line for them is the same as the Cyclones. If they price the games fairly, get the message out on game times and put out a good product, they have a chance. But if tickets are $10, game times are constantly changing and the team is a bunch of misfits-they will fail. In the right set up, they might even be to the Cyclone's advantage. In need of a quick replacement, maybe one of their players could bail us out of a jam. Crazy idea- maybe Lee Lansdowne could actually play a few games with them to actually get some real game play !
