CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, have announced a pair of roster additions. Defenseman Brock Sheahan has signed his qualifying offer for the 2010-11 season; the team has also agreed to terms with forward Adam Bartholomay.
Sheahan enters his third year as a professional, his second with the Cyclones. Last season, the five-foot-eleven defenseman was a mainstay on the Cincinnati blue-line, skating in 71 of 72 regular season games and all 24 postseason tilts. Sheahan was one of 12 Cyclones to log at least one game in the AHL last season, making his Triple-A debut with Houston on February 6, 2010. Collegiately, he played four seasons at Notre Dame appearing in 161 games, tallying four goals and 29 assists.
"Brock demonstrated throughout the playoffs that he was a warrior for this hockey club and I am thrilled to have him back," said Head Coach Jarrod Skalde.
Bartholomay, an Agoura Hills, CA native, enters his fourth season of professional hockey. In 2009-10, he skated in 55 games with the Tulsa Oilers (CHL) amassing 7 goals and 13 assists for 20 points. Although this will be his first full season of hockey in the ECHL, Bartholomay logged 10 games with the Florida Everblades during the 2007-08 season. Prior to going pro, the five-foot-eleven forward played two years collegiately at the University of Nebraska Omaha and three years in the USHL.
"What's attractive about Bartholomay is that he's a very versatile player, he can play both forward and defense," said Skalde. "He's got an offensive upside and is eager to continue his ECHL career."
The defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones open their home schedule on Saturday, October 30 at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers. Discounted ticket packages for the 2010-11 season are available now. For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) extension 3 or visit CyclonesHockey.com.

Brock a valuable returnee. Bartholomay not impressive on paper but lets hope. Love to see all or at least most of the other seven qualified offers that were tendered to players from last year's roster signed soon |

One reason why he does not have high stats is probably because of his defensive use as Skalde said, his numbers in the IHL were not too bad, last year with Tulsa I wonder if they used him a lot on defense? |

Glad to have Sheahan back. He's a very solid player at this level.
