What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

He hasnt been signed yet (at least officially). But if no AHL teams offers him a contract, and he comes to the ECHL, doesnt he have to play for cincinnati? He could always go overseas. Hopefully we can bring him back too. Unreal to return so many top guys from last years team.

@dbc and dtwells,

Given how much they paid Lindback to come over from Europe (1 million+ from what I've read and heard but nothing concrete) it's not surprising to have him in the NHL. Dex seems to be like Sanford was for Montreal/Hamilton, solid depth guy but not someone they really want getting NHL minutes. It seems Nashville sees Pickard as the future but with Rinne playing so well, they have the luxury of not calling on him until he's ready.

Elvis--no disagreement on his potential. Said it was surprising that he stayed in Nashville because it is generally thought that he ( as well as other rookie European goalies) would be better learning the more goal crashing North American game and playing in smaller North American rinks by playing a lot in the AHL initially than sitting on the bench in NHL. Will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets in Nashville.

You don't throw a bunch of money out to lure a Euro guy over only to send him to the minors. Everything I've read indicated, to me at least, that Lindback was sticking in Nashville unless someone had a serious breakthrough at camp.
