CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Scott Reynolds has been recalled to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Reynolds, the 29-year-old Saskatchewan native, will suit up in his first-ever AHL game after spending most of his professional career with the Cyclones. The fifth-year pro has etched his name on the Kelly Cup twice in three seasons with Cincinnati, making his mark in the franchise record books in the process. Reynolds ranks fifth in career points (117), third in games played (209), and third in career plus/minus (+44).
"This is a very well deserved opportunity for Scott," said Cyclones Head Coach Jarrod Skalde. "He has a tremendous work ethic and knows what it takes to play our game at a very high level. He's been a great leader for us and I'm excited to see him get the chance to play at the American Hockey League level."
The Rochester Americans open their regular season schedule on the road tomorrow night against the Toronto Marlies.
The Cyclones open their preseason slate tonight against the Wheeling Nailers at WesBacno Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
The defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones open their home schedule on Saturday, October 30 at U.S. Bank Arena against the Wheeling Nailers. Discounted ticket packages and single game tickets for the 2010-2011 season are available now. For more information, call 513.421.PUCK (7825) or visit CyclonesHockey.com.

Great for him--very much deserved. He signed a PTO which is for 25 games but he can be released and returned at any time prior to that. A player can have two PTOs but after that has to be either signed to a standard AHL contract or released becoming a free agent.
Can't find anything on Amerks that say someone is hurt or called up so I am not sure he will dress but even if he doesn't and he is back here by next weekend, a classy move by Webber to give Scott some time up there and reward him for his great efforts over the past few years. |

Glad to see this.
Eghoetz will get his reward as well I would think.
