TRENTON, New Jersey - The Cincinnati Cyclones (8-6-5-1) used a three-goal third period en route to their most lopsided victory of the season, dropping the Trenton Devils (7-8-0-1) by a 5-1 score at Sun National Bank Center on Sunday afternoon. Five different Cyclones players scored for Jarrod Skalde's team as they wrapped up their four-game, three-city road trip.

Cincinnati struck early in the first period as Brett Robinson came up with a loose puck in the left circle and potted his fifth goal of the season for an early 1-0 Cyclones lead at 1:34. Thanks to a Carl Hudson major penalty for boarding, the Devils had the chance to utilize a five-minute power play and they cashed in. At the 13:15 mark, a Justin Pender point shot rebounded off the pad of Marc Cheverie (W, 20 saves, 7-2-2-1) and right to Matt Vokes who easily tapped it in for the game-tying goal. In all, 44 penalty minutes were handed out in the first period 27 of them given to Cincinnati.

For the second consecutive night, Scott Lehman found himself unguarded in the offensive zone and made the opposition pay. This time, during a Cyclones power play, the Cyclones forward/defenseman received a beautiful pass from Chris Clackson and buried the puck past Devils goalie Mike Brown (L, 29 saves, 1-1-0-0) for his fifth tally of the year and a 2-1 Cincinnati lead. Little did they know it then, but that would be the game-winning goal.

But the Cyclones weren't done as they added three more goals to their total in the third period. At 9:57, Sam D'Agostino netted his fifth goal of the season after catching a beautiful Christiaan Minella pass through the slot. Less than two minutes later, during a Cyclones two-man advantage, Barret Ehgoetz slammed home a rebound for a 4-1 Cincinnati lead. Chris Clackson added one final insurance marker at 18:43 when his turn-around slap shot eluded Brown for a 5-1 score, which turned out to be the final.

Both teams set season high's for penalty minutes. The Cyclones were whistled 12 times for 47 minutes while the Devils got called for 18 penalties for 51 penalties.

The Cyclones Radio Network Three Stars of the Game are as follows:
1. Scott Lehman (Game-winning goal for Cincinnati)
2. Christiaan Minella (1 assist, +1 for Cincinnati)
3. Matt Vokes (Lone goal for Trenton)

With another lengthy road trip behind them, the defending Kelly Cup Champions return to U.S. Bank Arena this Friday, December 3 for Scout Night and the opener of a two-game set with the Florida Everblades at 7:30pm. In addition to $1 John Morrell Hot Dogs, the first 3,000 fans through the gates will receive a Cyclones poster. It's also Weiner Dog race night, with an intermission race featuring some local Tri-State canines. Discounted ticket packages and single game tickets for the 2010-2011 season are available now. Holy crap, look at that game sheet!

Well, that was a chippy one to say the least. Good to see the boys stayed on top and hopefully won the scraps as well. That would have been a fun home game for sure.

According to Nick Brunker on the internet broadcast, our guys won each and every skirmish hands down, and yea, it would have been great to see in person.

Not sure if these links will work on here, if they dont, you can find them on youtube if you search for JS Berube. Someone was posting these right after they happened.

I'm going to pretend that every single one of those fights was preceded by a 'What's so great about Bruce Springsteen anyways?' by a Cyclones player.

Top link was in response to the Hudson incident. 24 had went after Hudson after his serious indiscretion that resulted in his game misconduct.

Middle link was the big boys trying to settle the Hudson incident for good.

Bottom link was because Clackson took an elbow to the head just before the video starts and the ref didn't call it.
