What happened this time ? It says forfeited on the AAHL's website. This team will be lucky to finish the week.

This was a blunder by the Lapeer team. The game was supposed to start at 1:00 at first. From what I understand, the Lapeer team wanted the game to be later, so the Storm agreed and the game was moved to 5:00. The Lapeer team showed up at around noon saying the game was at 1:00. They eventually left saying the game was off, later calling the Storm front office saying the game was on. This went back and forth. I was told the Lapeer team was at their hotel in Middletown and the players were not prepaired to play. The Storm players were at SportsPlus till game time. The officials showed up and were told what was going on and they left. At about 4:30 I was told the game was forfeited by Lapeer. This looks to be an oversight by Lapeer.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'm planning on catching a Storm game at some point but at this rate I'm not sure is I want to schedule a day/evening around sitting at Sports Plus waiting see if there is going to be a game played. It's a wonder the League is still in existence with things like this happening. I wonder if it happens throughout the League.

Watching pro hockey at Sports Plus is hardly ideal anyway. Let alone having to sit around waiting for the teams to figure out if they want to play. When they are not changing the game time around the games get scrapped or rescheduled.

The Storm need to inform people what is going on with their website. There was no posting on their website about the reasons why their past three games have been cancelled. No matter how embarrassing the reason they should level with people who are trying to support the club.

Another thing is that their website doesn't post game summaries of every game. I have to go to the opposing team's website to get information about what happened. I'm trying to follow this team but the Storm make it tough.

I'm a hockey junkie and loved it when we had two teams before. I wish the All American Hockey League the best of luck and want to see the Storm make it. But these on going problems are adding up to failure. And the few hockey fans that have taken an interest in this club are getting the run-around. Not good.

I'm in the same boat. I live in Kentucky, so the drive to SportsPlus is a bit of a hike (30-45 minutes depending on traffic). Quickest way to lose a potential fan from this side of the river would be another forfeit due to bad communication after making that drive.

I'm in KY also A.S. I went to their first game and planned to go back but forget it now. Not until they have proven that they have their act together. :-(

I was in the neighborhood tonight, so I stopped in for a QC Storm game. Don't count on them getting their act together anytime soon. I should separate my feedback into two categories... QC Storm Management and QC Storm Team.

Management
Advertised student discount as $6 on the website, nobody knew about this policy at the ticket booth. Advertised $1 hot dogs, $1 beer, $1 soda on the website. Again, nobody knew about this promo. We asked the concession cashier and he told us to ask the facility manager and pointed him out. The manager was obviously drunk. Slurred speech, bloodshot eyes.

Team
This part surprised me. The game was competitive, fast, and physical. It was sloppy (obviously), but a much better experience than I had anticipated. Coach Zinger and his players are doing their part, it's just a shame management can't get their head out of their ass.

The person you were directed to doesn't own the Storm. There is and probably always will be a lack of communication between the two. The person behind the counter as well as the other gentleman were clueless as to what was on the website (and if I recall the website only). As for the game itself, very interesting game. The Storm battled back in the 2nd period to tie it up. I was the goal judge down at the scoreboard end of the rink.

I've heard the play is decent to watch. But conditions at Sports Plus don't sound so good, what's up with that place. Too bad for the team owners, sounds like they try to coordinate with the Steam who seem to be doing real well.

Rumor out of SportsPlus is the Storm has folded. Can't confirm it but that's what I heard. SportsPlus has been sold again and the new owner wants them out. Don't know if it affects the Steam or U.C.'s club team.

Saw the league had one team fold but got one back from last season. Can't believe Sports Plus got sold again, what's with that place? Hope it doesn't mess up things for the Steam and the Storm.

Rumor has just been confirmed. The Queen City Storm have folded. My son, who works at SportsPlus said the owner is packing everything up and headed back to Dayton.

Aren't they supposed to be having some sort of New Year's Eve game/dinner at Slugger's? What timing. Too bad for the players and Coach Zinger. Troy is supposed to play the Storm here Fri. and again Sun., nothing on their site yet about it being cancelled.

The league site says Indiana folded but Chi-Town is back.

Looks like the AAHL won't see 2011.
