As many of you have heard the CHL is possibly losing a handful of teams to either the NAHL, SPHL, or teams will cease to exist. Today I combined all teams of the CHL and ECHL together on a map. I wish I could upload it here. Something is afoot the CHL is having meeting during the playoffs to try and solve potential problems. The Colorado Eagles are stating the will play a 72 game schedule the CHL played only 66 games this season. This leads me to, two thoughts if the leagues merge AA hockey will be a on very solid footing. For example Cincinnati could possibly never play a game farther than 5-6 hrs away. On another thought FTW, Dayton, Kalamazoo, Wheeling, Reading, Elmira, Cincinnati, Evansville, Bloomington, Toledo, Quad Cities, Chicago, Trenton could make a very nice bus league in the Midwest.
East Trenton Wheeling Reading Elmira
Central Cincinnati Toledo Dayton Fort Wayne Evansville
West Chicago Quad Cities Bloomington Kalamazoo
The Mythical Cyclonesdiehard Hockey League would be a great bus league, with hopes to expand to 16-18 strong teams if the cities can meet the high demands of the league to ensure stability. Cities that CDHHL would be interested in Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis, Flint, Battle Creek with a new arena that seats 5k+ , and a team in PA or Western NY.
