My son and I visited the Hockey Hall of Fame yesterday in Toronto. A nice surprise was that it was not limited to NHL---plenty of minor league displays, information on hockey history, pleny of famous sticks, jerseys, and pucks. There were even a few mentions of the Cyclones.
There were also some interactive activities--shooting on various goalies, trying to stop shots--all computer generated but with actual pucks/sticks/goals. There were two different movies playing continuously.
Being from Philly, I especially enjoyed the Philadelphia Quakers Jersey, a team that lasted one year in a long-line of minor league teams that lasted a few years, then failed, before the Flyers took to the ice.
Well worth the admission price of $35 total for the both of us. We stayed 3-4 hours. |
