Why are the promotions not working for crowds-look at what a fan sees on
the Cyclones site. Dec. 2 night-no bobble-head giveaway mentioned.Dec.12
two for Tuesday is two for what? Dec.14 night Thirsty Thursday is Thirsty for
what? Dec 15-motorcyle helmet night-ANY IDEAS? Dec 21-see Dec 14!!I tried every
way I could to get a description on there site and I find NONE! I applaud the
promotions put together but they are useless if no one knows what they are.By the
way,Thank you Cyclones for the Gilbert bobblehead as it looks great on the mantle
next to Don Biggs.

That's the point Susan,you know that and I know that,but why doesn't the Cyclone's
OFFICIAL SITE explain that!.If I want to check on the Cincinnati Red's
promotions,their web site is where I would go for the info. The walk up fan
is probably not coming here for their info.Last night's game was the first I heard
of a buy one-get one free on tickets for the Tuesday game. That needs to be spelled out
like that on the Clones website in bold print from now to game time. |

I concur, I've noticed these issues already with "White Out" night when no one had any idea that White Out meant they would be giving out t-shirts. Another problem I had with that night was that it was also labled Pack The House Night. Where were the discounted tickets? PTH nights have worked in the past for this team when they made every seat in the house $5. It even worked in the last abysmal ECHL season. Even if it wasn't as extreme as everything $5, at least make SOME discount, as the purpose of Pack The House night is for a big draw due to everyone getting in cheap.
It was the same for Dionne nught, no mention of the bobbleheads on the web site or in the Enquirer where they even had an article about the promotion in the Cyclones weekly update. By the way, my bobblehead looks great too. Got it autographed by Gil and everything.
Two-for Tuesday should be pretty easy to figure out, but the only people who probably know about Thirsty Thursday are people who have been to games when the Florence Freedom were offering it. At any rate, I REALLY hope it turns out a better crowd than the first Thirsty Thursday.
I'm with you on your statement, this is a solid list of promotions, but part of having a good promotion is doing just that, PROMOTING it. Otherwise it's useless. |
