Chet Pickard (G)

Milwaukee

DEL Reassigned by Nashville (NHL) to Cincinnati (ECHL)

Hopefully he can clear his head and get back up like Deks did in 09-10. Give him a clean slate for a new year and hopefully he can be the 1st round pick Nashville wants him to be.

Bryan Hince most likely. He is under contract with Knoxville in the SPHL.

Hopefully better defensive play will also so help him this year. I don't think the D bode well for his confidence last year.

Somersaults, thats how I roll!

No surprise.

Nashville has a stellar record with goalies in their system, so lets hope we see what they see this year.

I have seen what Chet can do and others have seen what he can do. Think back to the Jan 30th game against SC. A 5-0 shutout with 28 saves. That is what we want, what Milwaukee wants, and its really what Nashville wants to see. Outside of the lack of d that Chet had every now and then, he could not bounce back from a bad game, it took him some two or three games to bounce back and that will be the difference if he stays long or he goes back north. We all have bad games, its how you react to bad games that keeps a lot of people here or gets them on the road to the A.

Nicely said BP. Goalies are a strange bunch. They see the game from a different angle and the react to wins and loses differently. (my son is a goalie too)

I was not a Chet fan last year and blaming the D is a bit of a cop out as both Marc and Brian both played well with the same group. What is often forgotten is the effect soft goal tending also has on the offense which gets much more conservative when they don't have full confidence in who is between the pipes. That being said--he was awful young last year ( still is) and goalies tend to take longer to reach their potential. The extra year should hopefully help him and I hope that having Danny Taylor here ( for however long ) will also help him develop and learn how to handle adversity.

Pure speculation, but maybe when the injuries hit Florida the organization saw it as an opportunity to bring in a "Crash Davis" to work with Chet vs. having two young prospects fighting to be #1.

Just a guess.
