I thought Chet played a really good game, made some great saves and kept the team in the game. I was listening to the game when the controversial call came but according to Brunker it should have been disallowed. Thackaberry has a history of missed calls so I was not surprised after I looked up his history.

This is one of those games where you saw a great game but one little mistake and the inability to come up with a pp goal hurt, on the flip 0-6 on the kill is a great start.

Chets numbers look good. Nice season opener on the road.

I'm not real happy that a defenseman easily lead the team in getting pucks to the goal, but it's early.

Who was wearing the "C?"

Yes, I grew up playing hockey... In Alabama.

It was a very good game and outside of the first 10 minutes, much better than what we saw last year. As far as the goal goes, it seems that those at the game are of the opinion that the puck hit the crossbar. That said, the debate begins at whether it came down across the line or not. In the end, the officials did the right thing by consulting with each other and ultimately, the goal judge made the call.

There was no "C" last night. O'Hanley, Rabbit, and McIlvane had the "A"s and it seemed as if Rabbit or McIlvane were the ones normally talking to the ref.

Chet played much better than what we normally saw last year. Much more confidence, better rebound control, and movements were a little quicker. That said, one game isn't enough to say whether he's turned the corner or not but there seems to be reason for hope.
