Here we go. Another AA Hockey season.

It'd be nice to have at least had the home opener before the team disbanded though.

Wow, knee jerk reaction much?

This team is loaded with defenseman so losing OH shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Neil Trimm's release probably means that Daniel Koger's issues are close to being resolved. Trimm looked good during camp but Koger looked better.

Taylor wasn't expected to be here long anyway, so no real loss there.

McIlvane chose to retire. It's for health reasons so good for him.

Trupp and Pierce are both eligible to come off of IR before the home opener.

Aubin and Blair would probably both be playing if it were absolutely necessary. Their injures aren't that serious but with the roster as packed as it is Skalde has the luxury of not pressing them into action. The release of Trimm may also indicate that Aubin is 100% to go this weekend. Skalde indicated that Aubi wouldn't play unless he was 100%. His injury is one that can linger if not given time to fully recover.

The bottom line is, the roster has 17 full time, healthy guys on it, add Battaglia as EBUG and you've got 18 which is a full bench. Of those 18, more of them are AHL affiliated than are not.
