TSN's Bob McKenzie reported via twitter that Florida has put Adam Comrie on buyout/release waivers.
It will be interesting to see if he's in uniform tonight or how it effects his status with the Cyclones. |

| This surprises me because he seems like a great player....but I wonder if it is a pure numbers game. I am assuming if another NHL team picks him up he will be assigned to its AHL/ECHL club because he is under contract with Florida. If nobody picks him up, maybe Skalde can do a good thing and re sign him to an ECHL contract if Comrie agrees to that pay drop. |

At this point he has been recalled by Florida and won't be playing tonight.
I'm pretty sure that's how it works; if picked up by another NHL team he'll join that teams farms system.
If released I'm guessing he'll go after a possible AHL deal first (St John's called up Kyle Bushee so they are obviously teams in need of dmen) in which case I'd hope Chuck would make an offer to keep him around.
As far as his game goes he wasn't bad but I didn't see anything that would make me think he was going to see the 'show' any time soon. He had a cannon for a shot but his defense was average at best. I'd grade him as an slightly above average ECHL player and a below average to average AHL level player. |

It was rumored around the team....don't kill the messenger, just telling you what I heard. You could kind of tell it in his play, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

Based on what I can find, he is no longer in Florida's system. He is not listed on the Rampage's roster nor is he listed on the Panthers prospects list.
I haven't found any Euro rumors at this point either.
Sounds like a case of a guy thinking he was better than he really was and therefore thinking he was entitled to something. I can't say for sure but it would be the first time a player on an NHL deal got bounced to the ECHL and thought that. |
