Joe Crozier almost became the first head coach of WHA Stingers but accepted an offer from another team in the league.

Thanks for posting this. Going to show how old I am but Zellio Toppazzini was one of my hockey heroes in the 50's when I first started watching and playing hockey. Can remember watching him play in Providence at the old RI Auditorium with the wire mesh where glass now is. Not many rinks around in those days even in NE and in the early 60's I played in a league where the only ice we could get was from midnight Friday to 4AM Saturday morning in that building. If the Reds were home that night he would often stick around and watch some of the games and chat with us and talk about how to play the game. Great article on him and his career and hadn't seen a picture of him in years. Thanks for the memories BP2011
