Ok am i the only one upset at the change in the exchange policy. I bought a full season ticket package with the accurances from the ticket rep that i would be able to trade any ticket for any game. now the new policy limits it to past games.

I talked with Josh and he stated its because people have abused the system. how can it be an abuse of system if the system is designed for the ability to trade tickets.

I dont know maybee i am making more of this than needs to be but if you are going to sell a product you dont make a change part way into that season.

I'm not exactly upset but rather puzzled.

Wouldn't it benefit the Cyclones more if they could resell my seats by having me exchange them _before_ the game I know I'm going to miss?

Also, if there's some prime seats that are claimed by a season ticket holder, it would be nice to be able to have a chance to buy them for a game rather than just having the seats go empty.

Of course if you own a team can never fill it's arena, you may not care about such things.

i talked to brandon and he said there ticket system cant release the seat since it was sold already even if you trade in the ticket before the game. Sounds to me like they need new ticket software

I don't know, but I'm glad I went with the smaller package now. Last couple years I generally knew which games I could not attend and traded them in for extra seats to bring people with me.

I agree it is silly, but in the past I would miss games on purpose to have tickets for future games I knew I really wanted to go to. Such as special teams like Greenville, or give away nights that the wife wanted to go to.

You know, they could not let season ticket holders trade in any tickets. Quit your bitchin...

So just thinking out loud, if they didn't allow any exchanging at all, I wonder how many season tickets they would sell... I will go out on a limb and say you would see quite a drop off. This is the ECHL, not NHL, NFL, or MLB. The average person has to have an incentive to buy them. And yes, I am happy for what I have. Just sayin'....

I think what was happening was individuals would trade tickets for a future game and then claim they never received those tickets in their package.

Those individuals should have their tickets revoked for the rest of the year.

Except.... the ticket takers aren't scanning the tickets, they're ripping the stub and nothing can be proven unless the specfic stub is found.

Can't blame the Cyclones for this debacle.

The new policy kinda sucks, but its nothing major. My only complaint is I wasnt informed of it by my rep and had to find out when trying to exchange a future game ticket at the exchange window.

I was kinda upset only because this season specifically I have night college classes and I already know what games I can't attend in the future. I had planned to use those tickets to bring my girlfriend for free or give to a friend for upcoming games. Luckily next year I don't have classes or I wouldn't renew them next year.

I think they should have said the rule would be into effect next year instead of surprising everyone and putting it into effect immediately in the middle of the season.

We like this rule better. It's way easier to miss a game and then show up for a later one with that ticket than try to plan for what games we think we can make in the future.

That said, this is the exact OPPOSITE of what our ticket rep told us. We've been exchanging tickets before those games because we thought that's what we had to do.

Yes, I grew up playing hockey... In Alabama.

Next year, if you're a partial season ticket holder, just request the 1st 12 (or 24) home games, and call it a day :)

Has anyone had trouble exchanging a GAME DAY ticket? There was a new face at the ticket window and I had two extra tickets to buy. The guy gave me the run-around saying that the game has to have ended to trade them in.

I understand the policy with FUTURE games, but if they're going to pull this crap with game day tickets, I'll quit trying to get my friends to go and reconsider the 'perks' of being a STH in the future. This wasn't a problem at any other game this season, even after they announced the new policy.

Edit: To clarify, the only reason I actually bought STs in the first place was because Josh Burdine (Director of Ticket Sales) assured me that exchanging them wouldn't be an issue. I go with different people every time.
