| this week has to be one of the hardest stretches the guys will see all season; 4 games in 5 days, with three of those games coming back to back to back with 1 real goalie (i'm still counting collins as an emergency back-up until i see him play). the worse we can go thanks to a great shoot out win is 3 and 1. and how about the offensive numbers in the two home games against johnstown....10 goals on 92 shots in 2 games. sure game one went to a shoot out....but 92 shoot on goal!!!! not to mention that the cyclones lead the echl only allowing 2.43 goals per game. they guys really came together and played for a full 60 minutes each night (urquhart even passed a few times)....now if they only keep it up for 49 more games. |

It has been a great run but you could have scored on Johnstown's Friday
goalie and their effort in both the Thursday and Friday game reminded me
of our first year in the IHL when we still had New Jersey's ECHL roster.
Our defense and penalty kill has been great and Desjardin has not cracked
like I feared.I'm with you in holding my breath with Collins. |

Does anyone recall a team pulling thier goalie with 12 minutes to go in a game this early in the season. Yeah they did score a goal on the power play but then to turn around and give up 2 empty netters with 9 minutes left. How do you think the Johnstown players felt having thier coach embarrass them like that? If it works great but that was a joke. That shows no confidence in your team to score. Maybe they were trying to shake things up a bit since they had been dominated 2 straight nights but it is also a slap in the face to your own players.

| I thought that was really odd play as well. You can't expect to do that multiple times and there not be an empty netter scored. My guess is that they knew they were down in such a hole plus getting pounded with so many shots that they weren't going to have a chance unless they put out an extra attacker. It was smart the first time when they scored because they went on the powerplay then did it, and scored. Should have not tried it again. Just ask Sam Ftorek. |

Here goes my memory bank again.We were in a game I think against
Fort Wayne when the goalie was pulled with about 8 minutes left.It
seems they scored twice before we came back with a goal and the goalie
was put back in.Can anybody help me on this? |

it made sense when they first did it on the power play. even though we could have cleared the puck with out worrying about icing, it was easy for johnstown to contain the puck with the 2 man advantage. when they pulled him 2 more times just inside 10mins for just a single man advantage, i was almost as shocked as i was when we chose to shoot first in the shootout....again. i was hoping johnstown would dump and change allowing cedric to get a shot off at the empty net....almost everyone else had a point, why couldn't cedric.
but c'mon lets give our boys some credit 10 goals, 92 shots in 2 games. |

9 goals on 92 shots in two games. (shoot-out goals aren't considered official goals on the stat sheet. |
